Where did the Early Watchtower Doctrines come from?  How did C.T. Russell come to all these conclusions different from so many of the major denominations?  You may be surprised to find out that he did not come up with these ideas on his own.  He was a student who learned from everyone of he could who had understanding and could make sense of the scriptures.  Many historical Bible Teachers of the 1800s had a profound influence on Russell’s understanding and making sense of the scriptures.  Who were these Teachers?   Find out more about this history by clicking here:  Why did Rutherford change so many of the Early Watchtower doctrines and beliefs?  Find out from a Bible Student who lived through Rutherford’s changes and wrote a book on it called, Desolation of the Sanctuary.  Read the book by clicking here:

The Wikipedia Encyclopedia has a very comprehensive article under The Bible Student Movement. The article not only talks about C. T. Russell, but also about different branches that came from his teachings and who influenced him, including JW’s and others. I found it very interesting and informative.
