Feb 11 Webcast: Do the Bible Prophecies about Israel Apply to the Jehovah’s Witnesses?

If you missed the Friday, February 11, Webcast, you can hear and watch the recording right here:

http://biblestudents.na5.acrobat.com/p46086277/

Former JW, Bethelite and Bible Student elder David Stein will interview Bible Student elder Kenneth Rawson as they investigate and discuss this topic together.  Both elders are deep students of prophecies that are directed at Israel.

Kenneth W. Rawson has been an elder of the Bible Students Congregation of New Brunswick for over 40 years. He is also an author, journalist and has lectured throughout North America and Europe on the subject of Israel and the Middle East.

He wrote and produced the film: ISRAEL: APPOINTMENT WITH DESTINY which has been highly commended in Israel by members of the Cabinet and Knesset. Religious leaders, publishers, editors and academic leaders in the Jewish community in both the US and Israel have joined in the accolades. His work has been acclaimed in the “Baltimore Jewish Times,” “The Jewish Press,” “The Jerusalem Post” and 20 other Jewish newspapers.

The Early Watchtower taught that Jehovah was then bringing the Jews back to Israel and that they would be re-established as a nation.  To read what C.T. Russell had to say, click here:

Chris. The great company/crowd mentioned in Rev 7 Bro Russell says on page 241 that this group is heavenly but it says they come out of the tribulation, and Jesus says those who come out the tribulation are people. Jesus sacrifice as the second Adam is not to save the first Adam, Russell also said God forknew Adam would sin but that is from Calivinism. Predestination. Islam also teaches us God planned and expected Adam to sin. IN fact they call him prophet Adam.. To me Russell was the greatest Paster alive in the world of his time as Bro Rutherford says. He died in 1916 and Christianity moves on, later it became understood the great multitude were not a second class group who had failed to be good enough to be part of the bride. The bride along with Christ are not better than other groups those earthly other sheep, they are there to serve them, both with serving them in the kingly law of love and in the resserection through there priestly duties. These different groups, one is not better, all are of equal valve to Jehovah. This second class group does not exist this group has the earthly hope is not inferior it’s where God planned us to be. Rurherford did not change this teaching he discovered the clearer view at God due time to reaveal it. The Bride class once they have completed there governmental job cast off their crowns.
Jesus although the only begotten son lowered himself to serve us as a servant so we can be saved and he expects his bride to do the same. Bride class are our servants.
Adam, died not.of Adamic sin his offspring did. Those in flood had 40 years to join Noah, they died by God hand, the Angels and Satan made the perfect decision to turn against God become his enemies. Tarurteras is condemnation to 2nd death in future. Jude. Bye!

      Gasa,
Thanks for your comment. Yes the great crowd is heavenly. But you never aim to be of this class. This is a mercy class that those who don’t make their calling and election sure will fall into. They are spirit begotten and give up theirs earthly life rights. They are left to go through the great tribulation because they weren’t faithful enough. But they will Overcome And serve God before the throne. Not on earth. Yes Jehovah foreknew that Adam would sin. The Bible says that Jesus’s sacrifice was from before the foundation of the world. The WT has people thinking that because something is taught in another denomination that this is its origin. This is untrue. Jesus was foreknown to be the ransom. Jesus was not a plan b.

you were not redeemed with corruptible things … but with the precious blood of Christ … He indeed was foreordained before the foundation of the world’. (1 Peter 1:18–20)

‘ … in hope of eternal life which God, who cannot lie, promised before time began’. (Titus 1:2)

“For he chose us in him before the creation of the world to be holy and blameless in his sight. .” Ephesians 1:4

‘ … according to the eternal purpose which He accomplished in Christ Jesus our Lord’. (Ephesians 3:11)

Jesus never promised an earthly hope to any Christian. That’s why the WT says that the New Testament is mainly for the anointed. There is no earthly group of Christians.

If the bride is only chosen after the fall of Man then why did God allow Adam and Eve to be a picture of the bride of Christ and Jesus if he didn’t know that he was going to fall?

  • …..Israel today has nothing comment with Jehovah God true Worship. It is very simple to feel some emotions with Israel but for me they have nothing to show what impressed me from the point of Jehovah God. Charles Taze Russel could have some thinking’s but make a lot of misunderstandings in his time. He was a man with Courage and love Agriculture from God. That is the reason that i like that guy who was the second “President” …..He was imperfect and have no understanding in many issues of the Bible even. The cross, Christmas, US celebrations, US Flag , ” God Bless US or Israel” it is all “Bullshit ” from the point of Jehovah God.The True is a life style and True Christians avoid pagan , heathen and Proverbs 6 : 16-19 issues. You to ?

Willibrordus – The JW organization is very judgmental of the practices of others which they feel are connected with pagan worship. Yet in many cases, people celebrating certain holidays are thinking about God and Jesus, not pagan beliefs. Perhaps it is safer not to judge others.

Col 2:16-17 (NKJV) “16 So let no one judge you in food or in drink, or regarding a festival or a new moon or sabbaths, 17 which are a shadow of things to come, but the substance is of Christ.” Ro 14:3 Let not him who eats despise him who does not eat, and let not him who does not eat judge him who eats; for God has received him.”
Ro 14:10 But why do you judge your brother? Or why do you show contempt for your brother? For we shall all stand before the judgment seat of Christ.
Ro 14:13 Therefore let us not judge one another anymore, but rather resolve this, not to put a stumbling block or a cause to fall in our brother’s way.
1Co 10:29 “Conscience, ” I say, not your own, but that of the other. For why is my liberty judged by another man’s conscience?
Jas 4:11 Do not speak evil of one another, brethren. He who speaks evil of a brother and judges his brother, speaks evil of the law and judges the law. But if you judge the law, you are not a doer of the law but a judge.

Again Jehovah is not a trinity God,three Gods form one God.
I hate it when people walk with blinders and do not think for them self.

But i believe Jehovah is ONE !
Now Jehovah witness and ex-witness but also bible students abuse the trinity as their excuse to not go into details.
They like to put you into their corner called trinity ,i hate that!

Sorry this is coming out so strong ,i have no hart feelings but this need to be said.

May Jehovah give his peace to you all.
Warm greetings to you all but because of this wrong aditude i will not post here again on the forum .

    • Peter K. (admin)

Magdalena – We allowed you to speak on the Trinity. We did not block your comments on this topic. We responded to you. You either didn’t notice our responses or ignored them. Which definition of the Trinity to you embrace? Do you accept the definition that states that the Father and Son are composed of the same substance? Why do you suppose the Jews in Old Testaments times had no understanding of the Trinity? Why do you think that the Jesus or the Apostles didn’t just come out and use the word Trinity or Triune God and explain to us that three Gods form one God?

  • Magdalena

To me personaly is the organization of Jehovah witness not the true witness talked about in Rom10:13
Jehovah witness do not believe in the name of Yah the saviour(Yah,shua/Jesus)who is Messiah .

    John says :
1John2:He who denies that Yah,shua is the Messiah? This is the antichrist, he who denies the Father and the Son.
23No one who denies the Son has the Father. Whoever confesses the Son has the Father also. 24Let what you heard from the beginning abide in you. If what you heard from the beginning abides in you, then you too will abide in the Son and in the Father. 25And this is the promise that he made to us- eternal life.

Remember what the scripture say in 1John1:20-22
20But you have been anointed by the Holy One, and YOU ALL HAVE KNOWLEDGE .
    See !
The Knowledge talked of in Proverb 8:1,22is not in the Jehovah wittness
Becausethey do not know her !
The Holy spirit is a she .
21 I write to you, not because you do not know the truth, but because you know Her, and because no lie is of the truth.
1John2:2727But the anointing that you received from him abides in you, and you have no need that anyone should teach you. But as his anointing teaches you about everything, and is true, and is no lie—just as it has taught you, abide in her.
Prov 8:1Does not understanding raise her voice?
    Rev22:The Bride say, “Come.”
And let the one who hears say, “Come.”
And let the one who is thirsty come; let the one who desires take the water of life without price.
