Isaiah 43:10 – YOU are my witnesses,” is the utterance of Jehovah, “even my servant whom I have chosen, in order that YOU may know and have faith in me, and that YOU may understand that I am the same One. Before me there was no God formed, and after me there continued to be none. NWT

Is Isaiah 43:10 speaking about today’s Jehovah’s Witnesses?

No, it is not.  Find out why not and find out who the real Jehovah’s Witnesses are by clicking here:

Could it be that the common phrase used by the organization with regards to the preaching work “house to house” does not translate as “door to door”?
The watchtower organization has always interpreted the meaning of public door-to-door preaching/witnessing to strangers found at Atcs 20:20, the context of Acts 20:20 also Rom.16:3,5 – 1Cor.1:11 – 16:19 – Col.4:15 – Phm1:2 seems to say otherwise. All those that the Apostle Paul is speaking to with regards to teaching them “house to house” are actually the same ones he is addressing in Acts 20:36, these were ones that Paul knew well. The “houses” where Paul went to teach were places where Christians had arranged to meet, actual congregations & does not indicate that it is door steps of the general public. We must remember that in the days of the first century they did not have any type of kingdom halls or church bulidings. These Congregational groups met in the private homes of their fellow local members. Of course for the ones who were not yet associated with one of these congregations could always go & listen to Paul and other diciples teach public areas such in market places & synagogues etc.

After 20yrs a witness and serving as a congregation service overseer I would not argue that the early apostles and 1st century Christians didn’t preach from house to house!
Take for instance Jesus words in Matt10:12 “When you enter the house, greet the household. 13 If the house is deserving, let the peace you wish it come upon it; but if it is not deserving, let the peace from you return upon you”
Notice Jesus even mentioned this type of ministry.. You see, the fact that if you were invited into a home by a disciple or potential one then he would never had said the above statement. The apostles obviously we’re entering homes of those where there was no invitation..
The problem with the Org is that they teach that this is first and foremost the only option and anything less is not acceptable. But the most important thing is preaching and teaching regardless of how it is preformed.. Their service is a part of control, visible, reporting time, regardless of outcome. There is no specific way that must be performed. Just simply teaching the word is all that is needed whether house to house street corner talking in informal settings you choose no one else!

Hi Brett, thankyou for your reply, great to hear from you. A very good point you made & yes I agree with you, I think it’s wrong the way the organization almost forces you to do the door to door ministry & makes out it is first & foremost prioriy above all else, there are many avenues for the ministry. the thing both you & I have pointed out here is that it certainly doesn’t seem to be the one & only way to preach, it is just a part of the ministry. As I mentioned in my post it seems that the preaching in public places & the Christian meeting in ones homes seem to be more prevalent.

        Warm & loving regards,

      • Chris J

        Brett stone,
This is just my opinion and I could be wrong, but I think when it says they taught from house to house it was teachers that went to homes because that’s where groups of people called ecclesias met. I Don’t think it meant going house to house to random people to preach to them.

    • just Stay Sweet and Good aka Rena Luecking (Cifra)

Daz…It only stands to reason that all of the people in the Jewish communities in Israel already were believers in YHVH. Going from one house to the next house would have always resulted in a warm welcome. The first century Christians were preaching and teaching the Messiah and his kingdom in the world to come. It is not at unreasonable to conclude they would have done it in any many that worked. Paul even hired an auditorium for his discourses with his own money. Remember that they we not just to baptize and make disciples, they were also suppose to be teachers. Matt 28:20 Acts 28:30 How many of those who claim to be anointed are taking the lead in the spirit of this example today? The faithful and discrete slave will not be designated until the end, AFTER they have been faithful and discreet.

I really like this interpretation of Isaiah 43:10! Its brilliant! I mean to actually prove by scripture that Jehovah’s witnesses aka ‘the organisation’, are not ‘the true Jehovah Witnesses’? That is absolutely amazing! It is a true breath of fresh air ! I am really beginning to love this site! It truly speaks to my heart!

Thank you ever so much Jacqueline & Peter

Just one question, tell me, what is going to happen to “Jehovah witnesses” at Armageddon? 🙂

    • Jacqueline

Taylor, Ps 15:16 says “You are opening your hand And satisfying the desire of every living thing. Jehovah is righteous in all his ways And loyal in all his works.” Almost all of Jehovah witnesses have a sincere, heartfelt desire to live forever on paradise earth, many work hard toward that goal. (although Jesus made it possible). Phillipians 1:15 shows Christ is declared no matter whether it is through envy, etc. There is another scripture that I can’t find that says in essence whether we declare the good news for various reasons, we all are rewarded. Imagine, Most Jw will know what is happenning and can help so many to subject themselves to the rulership of Christ. Ask any of our JW brothers and they will say they desire to survive armageddon. God will satsify those desires. Even Ressurrection 0n earth is the hope of almost all of our JW brethren. LIFE, real LIFE without death is the desire of both BS and JW (whether in heaven or on earth) plus some others have decerned the secret and along with the rest of mankind have a hope of living forever on earth or heaven. Many of mankind including our dear JW brethren will survive armageddon also. Some will be shocked to see national groups survive armageddon however. Devoid of course of the system structure that existed before the war. Judgement Day is 1,000yrs long not at armageddon. There will be casualties however! A recent comment to John on this site deals with that. Taylor, Acts 10:43 in part says:” that everyone putting faith in him gets forgiveness of sins through his name. This is now and more completely in Millenium. We also have to remember Acts 10:42 Jesus is the judge of the living and the dead and his sacrifice causes all to live in millenium. whether it proves to be forever will be up to each individual.. Also Luke 6:37 says to stop judging and you won’t be judged. So we all are fighting to fight the fine fight of faith. (1Tim.6:12.) The book of James is such a fine uniting source of encouragement, I find also. Take Care Jacqueline

Taylor – Sorry for the delay in responding. We have an article entitle, “Will only JWs survive Armageddon.” You can read it by clicking here:. We believe the anointed will all be glorified in heaven before Armageddon, as Rev 19 describes the armies in heaven following Jesus on the white horse (this would be the glorified 144,000). Any JWs or other Christians on earth may die or live through Armageddon. Either way, Jesus died a Ransom for ALL and everyone will come back on Paradise earth for an opportunity for learning righteousness and judgment based on their willingness at that time to submit to Jehovah. You can read scriptures supporting this here:

God didn’t break his word to the jews. They broke their word to him. They broke his covenant by killing his son or by having his son killed. Their own messiah.
Are you going to continue in a covenant with those who totally disrespect you? And kill the heir? NO

    • Peter K. (admin)

Dear Sister – Jehovah is more loving, kind and forgiving of Israel than that; and we can rejoice that the same is true for you and me.

Deuteronomy 4:31 – For the LORD your God is a merciful God; he will not abandon or destroy you or forget the covenant with your forefathers, which he confirmed to them by oath.

Romans 11: 1 – I say then, God has not rejected His people, has He? May it never be!… 25 …a partial hardening has happened to Israel until the fullness of the Gentiles has come in; 26 and so all Israel will be saved; just as it is written, “THE DELIVERER WILL COME FROM ZION, HE WILL REMOVE UNGODLINESS FROM JACOB.”

Amos 9:14 – I will bring back the captives of My people Israel; They shall build the waste cities and inhabit them; They shall plant vineyards and drink wine from them; They shall also make gardens and eat fruit from them. 15 I will plant them in their land, And no longer shall they be pulled up From the land I have given them,” Says the LORD your God.

  • Magdalena

    Dear Alex
Thanks brother for reminding us of God,s holy spirit .
your motivation is pure love of thsi i am sure.
Althow i my self do not believe as you do ,and i do not see God as three persons in one.

How ever i do believe God did show him self to Israel in differant forms.
One form was Yah the saviour.

John12:37/40 were it says like this :
37 Even after Jesus had performed so many signs in their presence, they still would not believe in him. 38 This was to fulfill the word of Isaiah the prophet:

“Lord, who has believed our message
and to whom has the arm of the Lord been revealed?”
(compare this verse to Isa 52:10 and Isa 53:1/4)

39 For this reason they could not believe, because, as Isaiah says elsewhere:

40 “He has blinded their eyes
    and hardened their hearts,
so they can neither see with their eyes,
    nor understand with their hearts,
nor turn—and I would heal them.”

41 Isaiah said this because he saw Jesus’ glory and spoke about him.
(compare this verse to Isa 6:1)

42 Yet at the same time many even among the leaders believed in him. But because of the Pharisees they would not openly acknowledge their faith for fear they would be put out of the synagogue; 43 for they loved human praise more than praise from God.

I believe in time God him self will reveile him self to each and every one personal .For it says in Matth 11: 27 “All things have been committed to me by my Father. No one knows the Son except the Father, and no one knows the Father except the Son and those to whom the Son chooses to reveal him.

But until that moment we all go to Messiah for guides and his love for him will show us allthe way how to give glory to Father in heaven
For he says in Matth 11:28 “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. 29 Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30 For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.”

`No one can come to Father then through me Messiah: says.
And No man can come to me, except the Father that sent me draw him: and I will raise him up in the last day.John6:44
and John12:32 When I have been lifted up from the earth, I will draw all people toward me.”

    Peace to you all.

  • Magdalena

The article i read says this below; The “JWs” today—like other replacement—theology-believing Christians—do not see any special future for the Jews. However, “from the standpoint of God’s choice they are beloved for the sake of the fathers; for the gifts and the calling of God are irrevocable” (Romans 11:28,29 NAS). Since God promised that the Seed of Abraham would inherit the Land and bless all the families of the earth out of Jerusalem (Genesis 22:18,19; Jeremiah 32:41; Isaiah 2:2,3)—what right have any Christians to annul this promise? These blessings were never forfeited. These promises are “forever” (Amos 9:14,15).

If we say God has cancelled his promises to the children of Israel, what confidence can we have in His promises to us as Christians?

    Magdalena says Amen !
This is beautifull to read .

And this is why I myself believe that the verse in Isaiah 43:10 – YOU are my witnesses,” has every thing to do with Rev 12:17 Then the dragon was enraged at the woman and went off to make war against THE REST OF HER OFFSPRING—those who obey God’s commandments and hold to the testimony of Jesus.

Mat. 5:19 Anyone who breaks one of the least of these commandments and teaches others to do the same will be called least in the kingdom of heaven, but whoever practices and teaches these commands will be called great in the kingdom of heaven.

Each verse supports the other. They are bound together tightly as one, just as the scripture shows. In Revelation we see the fulfillment involving the faithful, who are described as those who “keep the commandments of YHWH (Torah) and have the testimony of Messiah Yahshua” (Rev. 12:17; 14:12). We read in Rev 12:17 Then the dragon was enraged at the woman and went off to make war against the rest of her offspring–those who obey God’s commandments and hold to the testimony of Yah,shua.

Rev14:12 This calls for patient endurance on the part of the saints who obey God’s commandments and remain faithful to Yahshua.

Our God YHWH did not forget his promiss to the off spring of Jacob .
For Paul says in Rom 11:32 For God has bound everyone (jew and gentile)over to disobedience so that he may have mercy on them all.

Rom11:25 I do not want you to be ignorant of this mystery, brothers and sisters, so that you may not be conceited: ISRAEL HAS EXPERIENCED A HARDENING IN PART UNTIL THE FULL NUMBER OF THE GENTILLES HAS COME IN, 26 and in this way all Israel will be saved. As it is written:

    “The deliverer will come from Zion;
he will turn godlessness away from Jacob.
27 And this is my covenant with them
when I take away their sins.”

28 As far as the gospel is concerned, they are enemies for your sake; but as far as election is concerned, they are loved on account of the patriarchs, 29 for God’s gifts and his call are irrevocable. 30 Just as you who were at one time disobedient to God have now received mercy as a result of their disobedience, 31 so they too have now become disobedient in order that they too may now receive mercy as a result of God’s mercy to you.

How beautifull are the feed of those who bring this good news .

    Peace to you all !

  • Alex

Also, Peter stated that Matthew 28:19 was probably added later, and even if it wasn’t, it doesn’t mean anything!!! What?

If any one of you would go to ANY library and read ANY book on the writings of the early church fathers (ignatious, polycarp, clementine, Justin Martyr, Augustine, ect..) you will see this exact baptismal formula!!
The earliest baptismal formula comes from the Apostles creed, and guess what?? It is a belief in the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. am i preaching to anybody out there??

Since the overwhelming evidence gives us 100% proof that these are Jesus’ EXACT words, lets look at the meaning shall we

    MATTHEW 28:19
“Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit,……”

Now, we have one name, ‘The Name’.

*What is the name above every name?
    * in 1st Corinthians ch.1, what is the name all the believers call upon
    * in Acts, what does Peter tell us is the only name that can save us?

notice as well that we have ‘the’ father, ‘the’ son, and ‘the’ Holy Spirit. This means that ‘the’ name, is all three of there names!!

Shalom readers, the truth will set you free! Now go and receive the baptism of the Holy Ghost, cause there is nothing like him!

Alex – I’ll let you have the last word here. Jacqueline suggested you set up your own website on the Trinity and link to it here. As I said before, this is a website where people have already made up their mind on this topic. They have gone door to door debating the trinity till they are blue the face and they are not coming here for more of that. However, if anyone else is really interested and wants to respond to you, you are welcome to debate with them on a limited basis. By the way, I don’t question your enthusiasm or your love of God and the Bible. I know you are sincere and I wish you Jehovah’s blessing.

    • PeterK

Alex – I do doubt the authenticity of Matt 28:19. Our comments on this have evidently escaped your notice. You can find them here: https://www.friendsofjehovahswitnesses.com/2010/10/in-whose-name-are-we-to-be-baptized/

The historical development of the Trinity is well explained in the November 2010 Beauties of the Truth article.

You stated the following: “If any one of you would go to ANY library and read ANY book on the writings of the early church fathers (ignatious, polycarp, clementine, Justin Martyr, Augustine, ect..) you will see this exact baptismal formula!!” Okay. You’ve got my attention. I am curious. Please provide the following: 1) The name of the early church father, 2) the exact word for word quote, 3) The year written as close as possible, 4) The book that is the source of your quote. Please don’t go off into other issues on this response.

By the way Alex, do you believe that if someone knowingly rejects the Trinity that they will go to hell? Could they go straight to heaven?
