I would also like to add this True Story about my husbands Grandmother..(I hope he don’t get mad I’m Putting this on here) Anyways My Husbands Grandmother has been a Loyal witness all her life or for many years I never asked so im unsure. Anyways she was in a bike accident and was never the same afterwards. She was on medication that made her a totally different person Mentally then she was before the accident. Anyways Fast Forward to her Final days she Over dose on her pills and it was called a suicide by the elders and because it was a “suicide” she was not given a proper memorial from the witness. It was all up to the family to bury her. To me this does not make any sense, it just doesn’t show love to me. Does it to you?
P.S. I do acknowledge that it was a different time back then too and they didnt take mental disability or depression seriously like they do today.
Dayna how merciless of them. Even a preacher and his church in Christendom would have known that was not right even in the 17th century! Aren’t they the only people that God get in touch with? Why didn’t they pray over it. It would have lead them to do the right thing.
Matt. 9:13, Jas 2:13 says mercy exults over any judgement they might have feared. I don’t give them a break on this one if they say since 1919 they have been in touch directly with God. Why is it they know now about mental illness? Because we have more brothers and sisters with this than any other religion. Partly because we target persons who have this illness and the deaf now, because both groups need extra attention. This love bombing is there in the beginning so they get baptized. But since no one can count the time when they do that, they are left on their own and labeled as a problem when they expect the help they got at first. These dear friends are cut off from other family members, so where can they go? It is right to help the depressed but not leave them.
I was a part of one of the Circuit overseers questionaire forms that they had to collect many years ago on mental illness and friends living with such poor brothers. (Yes, this is how and why they wrote articles changing their stance, like everybody else they did research to understand.) Also threat of lawsuits made them stop causing people harm, they had a few suicides actually at Bethel. (I only personally know of one). Thank goodness they are better now. But numbers still is good, because it means more contributions to build the empire of building in now Warwick, New York. Strange how we were said to be materialistic if we bought a big house or new car. So we are all imperfect and the Kingdom is going to be a blessing indeed when we can forgive and get ourselves perfect and in line and just live to glory of our God, Jehovah. Unfortunately sister, those people you speak of are in the minority.
Now are you sort of seeing why I had to leave. In order to behave like Jesus , be a footstep follower, I had to fine a smaller calmer environment. You see I know the witnesses are on the right track as far as recognizing the kingdom hope and that as in Noah’s day the Angel’s rulership was destroyed completely. And that this order would go, but something wasn’t quite right about the people going, there was an unjustness there, because Christ had paiud for them to get true know in the millenium, and now they die without a true chance? I couldn’t talk about that to search the scriptures with anyone. I was being labeled a person bringing in extra material to the watchtower by some elders and hailed for haven’t the guts to bring it up by others. I had to quench this thirst that was developing in me to learn more and to change the way I dealt with people at the door. Youy see some of them had a point, but I couldn’t explore the Bible with them. So here you have me. As one of my dear older brothers (about 94) in the BS said, in his quiet voice: “He answered your prayer, put you here, now stay put, and doe what he tells you.” And chatting with you and others from all over the globe is indeed a priviledge and a faith strengthening joy.
Our JW brothers will hopefully learn to be gentle with all 1Thess. 2:7 says as a mother cherishes her child. With the Bible Students I can be nice to people, even those not related in the faith. The funeral of 3 young girls, drowned in our lake, I can attend that now. A neighbor that has helped me out by warching my house, I can take food and go to his memorial with the other neighbors for he watches out for all of us. I would have to keep it a secret if a witness. I like being nice.
To Jacqueline, You give me so much hope, I LOVE reading your comments you can just feel the LOVE ooze out in your words, I LOVE IT!!!!, you make so much since and you “GET” both parties correct. You know the JW like the back of your hand. As my Husband(Humbleman)and I Get closer and closer of making the BIGGEST decision of our life which he has already done in his heart, but im just not to sure yet, I stay up late at night crying about thinking I have no choice but to stay with the JW organization to stay close to my family. I did finally tell my cousin/Best Friend that is a JW all her life, I made her Promise not to tell my mom nor anyone else. It went ok I guess, She did tell me no matter what she will always love me, So that was good but I cried so hard and didnt make any since I couldn’t back anything up or explain anything. I was so mad at myself I don’t think it was the right time to tell her, I wish I waited until my husband was there with me to help me explain why we’re leaving the Organization and NOT Jehovah. She thinks Satan is leading me away from Gods people. and im being mislead and Im Confused. Im so angry inside..:(…Im not afraid of man but im afraid of losing my family..Will that feeling ever go away? Dayna Hello!!!!!, You would not believe what I went thru since we last talked. My family found out that I was a Bible Student. It was horrible, but I put myself in God’s hand. If you could the emails flying back and forth between me and my three sons. I had to call in the Big Gun! Their father! He left before I did and knows the scriptures but also know the deep inner workings of the society. He advised them to deal with him. They aren’t that brave. It was hard, a lot was said by them. Daughter-in-laws got involved, a lot was said. (okay). But 5 months removed, I am at peace. Only one son and wife refuses to deal with me. In fact he said I will die at armageddon and no resurrection. One was a little relieved after a while, because he could finally express himself. The other son and wife and I are okay now. (I realize they are so young, I have to always hear:”you know you were right from them.”} Being under Holy Spirit’s influence now causes me to see people as Jesus sees them (not completely, just comparatively).
You will find, some of your relatives and friends will not treat you any different. They won’t discuss spiritual things. Some will give you that knowing nod or just hug you when they see you. Most elders will speak and talk to you in general. They know the society doesn’t do anything as long as you just walk away. DO NOT SEND A LETTER, just walk. If you get vocal, they rightfully have to deal with you. Why? Because you are causing divsion in the congregation. That isn’t Christian. If being a part of the JW otganization is not a problem for others, we would be wrong to make it one. These friends will survive armageddon or be resurrected like everyone else in millenium,but have a head start. And it could be a hinderance also, because it didn’t go like they were taught. At any rate, that is what the 144,000 and Jesus are for. They will be intercessors as priest as well as kings and it will work out for the glory of God.
You are undergoing a DEATH. You must mourn, it takes time, your whole belief system has died, as most manmade ones will. Be proactive. Your nugging from the Spirit will cause you to do either on of three things. Act, and ask Jesus what do you want me to do? Wallow in it. Or do nothing, including leaning toward atheism. Death has steps, you are at grief level, along with fear of living without your loved ones. Next you will accept it. and move forward. This is the critical level in any death process. Some grieve too far because of not knowing about resurrection and Christ’ Ransom. Some get bitter and hate God and men. Many young people at this stage take their newfound freedom as an excuse to do unrighteousness. So the path taken can be a blessing or a curse.
But at least you have free will and “freedom and liberty” in Christ. You will be shocked to see how many of your friends will think you are brave. The ones you loose, would probably abandom you under other circumstances also (divorce,mental sickness etc) so they are not so good to have anyway. DO NOT FORGET THE POWER OF PRAYER. Once Jesus see you are for him and not afraid, a new creature, that trusts him when he says “I will not forsake you or leave you” (Heb. 13:1-6) (Ps 94:12-23). Faith is not the possession of all men. But, if you put complete faith in him Dayna, you will make it.
I feel good and clean now since they found out that I had no only stopped going, but was with my brothers. the Bible Students. Since everyone knows who I am and I don’t want to cause others problems. I will just say, I now have relatives that just heard what has happened ask to go to a convention with me. A bunch of them was in one home and came on our study on Wed. night. (they didn’t talk, was afraid). But no one is being mean to me. In fact some Elder ones make sure they talk to me to see how I am doing. I must admit, no one mentions me leaving, but a little bird tells me it is the hottest conversation going in my family. (Can’t reveal this little bird, because I have relatives on this site. Also, I don’t go around people that I know are going to cause me grief. It is okay to be selfish. (protect self)
I write my story to show you, it is not as bad as you think, after a while. It’s like any reaction to extreme change, it lessens with time. It also gives others courage to at least examine for themselves. when they see your head does not spin, around and that God does not strike you dead when you leave. JW are some of the most superstitious people on this planet, we fear demons just like some voodoo nations. I can say this because I was like that.
Dayna, you have your husband and the whole association of brothers. But do so quietly. Remember Jesus slipped away each time when they tried to kill him prematurely. Be like him. I have a confession to make. I am not a Jehovah Witness. Its all a pretense. I’m sorry. All those cruel accusations I made were just to test your Christlike love out. You see in the past I have experienced such cruel talk like that from quite a number of Jehovah witnesses, and so I was curious to see how you would take it.
To see first hand if you returned evil for evil . But I can see that you don’t. Its very unusual. It appears that your love is not just on the surface like the rest of them, but may well actually be from the heart.
You have my utmost respect for this and my sincere apology for any hurt I may have caused to you or the Humbleman. 🙂

Oh my, thanks for letting me know, and there is no need for an apology. You see normally when a person comes at us like that we switch to the “:Ask Jacqueline” page, because someone has hurt them in some way. So now I can do some housework without worrying about you. thank God. The admin and I have been texting, because we were concerned for you and wanted to know what had happened. We sincerely just want to help those that have been treated badly and cannot discuss, or question within the JW organization. This I feel has been the ministry handed to me by Jesus and I take it seriously and will not intentionally mistreat anyone coming here for dialogue. This is a special type of BS web-site as it is sort of written to encourage dialogue with those acquainted (as you are) with J witnesses. Please tell us your story, if you will. Or ask questions that have been on your mind.
BTW, the organization tells the brothers and sisters to respond that way and they obey the organization. If you talk to a witness that is not afraid of men you will find they are truly nice people. I was as a witness and disliked so many of the things I had to do for the sake of unity.
I will give an example to explain, how it is not the witness as a person but an obeyer of organization arrangement: Our Circuit overseer had everyone buy a small mallet to knock on the doors with. It had a rapping sound and if you didn’t have one, he did and gave it to you to rap on the doors when working with him. You rapped until a person came to the door or cursed you out. One man came with a gun and told us he would shoot us if we ever did that again. Now you know I knew better than to rap that long on a oor as to get a threat. My mother would have gasped in horror at my being such a bother, she taught me better. But, if I had rebelled in any way against that Circuit overseer, he would have made my elder husband and my son’s lifes difficult. My son’s wouldn’t be able to carry the mikes or might lose their position as ministerial servant. My husband would have been told to get his wife under control. (It happened, true story) So you see why many respond in a way not of their nature, there are consequences for every action.
We try here to focus on getting in touch with Jesus and forgetting for a moment an organization run by men. It helps one to find Jesus and receive comfort from the scriptures and focus on his work to be done. That’s what we are about.
Most witnesses will not comment, I thought that was brave of you. But, we have thousands of them visiting from our statistics.

No, We are JWitnesses, I am a little to old for such. I just like his name and have seen him on many post. He does indeed come across as a very humbleman. We are not here to attack anyone, that is not the way of the Bible Students. We do feel that Character development is important in our walk with God. So, if it sounded as if I was, getting back at you, please excuse me. I agree that it is wrong to speak or rebel against those who take the lead in caring for and feeding God’s sheep. (1 Tim. 5:17) Jude, for example, speaks of “ungodly men” who have slipped in among God’s people and are “speaking abusively of glorious ones,” wicked men who “have perished in the rebellious talk of Korah.” (Jude 4, 8, 11) ” I address the rebellion of Korah, Dathan and Abiram, three notorious rebels who opposed Moses and are given as a warning example for us today. (Num. 26:9; 1 Cor. 10:6, 10,11) The Society teaches, and many wholeheartedly agree, that questioning the governing body is equivalent to Korah’s rebellion. Moses was the mediator of the Law covenant that Jehovah made with the nation of Israel at Mt. Sinai, and he was the one chosen by God to lead his people. (Heb. 8:7-13) As you know, the greater Moses is Jesus Christ, the mediator of the new and better covenant. Regarding him the apostle Paul wrote: “Moses as an attendant was faithful in all the house of that One as a testimony of the things that were to be spoken afterwards, but Christ [was faithful] as a Son over the house of that One. We are the house of that One, if we make fast our hold on our freeness of speech and our boasting over the hope firm to the end.” (Heb. 3:1-6; 5:4,5; 8:6; Gal. 3:24)
Who is leading God’s people today? A Watchtower article answered: “As Jehovah’s modern-day servants, we cherish our good relationship with God. We are eager to learn and apply in our lives valuable lessons from past events. (Romans 15:4) When the Israelites walked by sight, they forgot that God through Moses was directing them. If we are not careful, we too can forget that Jehovah God and the Greater Moses, Jesus Christ, are directing the Christian congregation today.” —w05 9/15 p. 20 par. 18; Walk by Faith, Not by Sight!
Since Jesus is the greater Moses, for someone to follow in the path of Korah he would have to rebel against Jesus, and not just against any man, or group of men, even if that were the twelve apostles. When Paul confronted the apostle Peter in Antioch with the need to correct him, for Peter “stood condemned,” also influencing others in following his hypocritical course so that “they were not walking straight according to the truth of the good news,” would you say that Paul became guilty of becoming like Korah? (Gal. 2:11-14)
The Scriptures foretold that before the coming of Jehovah’s day (NWT), Jehovah would reveal (or expose) the existence of an element right at the very top inside his own household—his temple—that would reflect the same rebellious attitude as did Korah, wanting to share in the glory of the greater Moses Christ Jesus, and elevating himself above all others of God’s people, even going so far as showing himself to be a god. I have found Jesus and am not rebelling against Him or Jehovah.
May I ask please, What has brought you to this site? I recently left but as I have many relatives in the organization still I know what is constantly being said, plus I have dialogued with Patterson education center when I have questions or need source material.

im sorry you feel that way we are Jehovah witness. your entitled to your opinion. hopefully by my conduct and the way i treat people on this board it will. show i try my best to be humble. i feel we should all try to be a person agreeable with Jehovah heart 🙂
Humbleman, Jehovah Witness is merely a general title used for 7 million or so individuals. The same as Muslim, Jew, Hindu or Christian for that matter. However giving oneself the title of ‘Humbleman’ is another matter altogether. For you are calling attention to a characteristic or virtue that is reserved only for other individuals to observe and note or exclusively for God to see and judge. I am still convinced and believe that any mature spiritual person would agree that a genuinely humble man would never use such a name as you have.
I know you feel the same way about this too, Humbleman. Only you have been caught out and your pride- paradoxically-is stopping you from admitting your fault.
Preventing you from being the “humbleman” that you so humbly are.
