  • Both the Old and New Testament are Jehovah’s inspired words; the primary source of all Truth.
  • Man did not evolve but was created
  • Jehovah created his only-begotten Son, Jesus.  Jesus created all other things.
  • Jesus descended from heaven to earth and was born of Mary as a perfect human man, not as God in flesh.
  • God raised Jesus from death in a Spirit body, not in a physical body of flesh.
  • The Holy Spirit is Jehovah’s active power and force, not a person.
  • The Trinity is no where found or taught in the Bible.
  • Man is mortal and does not possess an immortal soul.  The soul ceases to exist after death.
  • There is no hell of fire where the wicked are punished.  “Hell” is from the same Greek and Hebrew words for “grave,” describing the sleep of death, not eternal torment.
  • We are now living in the ‘time of the end’
  • Jesus returned and has been invisibly present on earth since the early days of the Watchtower Bible and Tract Society.
  • The 144,000 of Revelation 7 are the anointed Bride of Christ in heaven.
  • Earth will never be literally destroyed or completely depopulated
  • In the Kingdom, Christ will rule the earth in righteousness and peace
  • By their faithfulness to God, the obedient of mankind will be granted what our original parents lost—everlasting life in human perfection on a paradise earth.
  • Ultimately, the wicked will be eternally destroyed, but not first without a full opportunity to follow Christ.

Thank you brother Cazenovi for your kindness, and taking time to make a reply on this issue..
I really understand that marrying in the Lord, is a commandment, and for a consacrated men the way to follow, and that has really his benefits.. I am blessed by myself with a a lovely and beautiful sister, and I love her so much, and she loves me, and having the same belief is the best thing that happens to us, and I hope with Jehovah’s help, and that of her beloved son Jesus Christ, that I can be developing more, and more the Character of our master Jesus Christ, in being a good man, and companion for her..
But I can’t accept the fact, that a believer, that makes the decision to marry an unbeliever, must be noted, or signed, and that we have to limit our social activities with that person.. I cound find any proof to take such a disciplinary action, trhough the Scriptures..
My question is: What would Jesus our master, do ? The answer we can find in developing the Character of him, and following his footsteps, where the Agape Love, would be the predominate inclination, of our decisions in live..
I send you my Christian Love,
    Your brother in faith,

    • Cazenovi

I can appreciate your personal inclination brother. A commandment is such that must be obeyed. Principles outlined in the scriptures are what guides our conscience. In those two produces godly wisdom, accurate knowledge, understanding, discernment and truth. Our King Jesus Christ would not excuse disobedience nor would berate nor chastise. He would reason and give powerful illustrations to convince you to look at things with a spiritual perception of that of his own and of his father.

Now brother, think on a few things (I assume you are a bible student and have a understanding on the principles of the scriptures) 1. In choosing his disciples. Who were the ones Jesus invite but was not chosen and why? 2. How can we, as consecrated brothers imitate our King to the utmost standards? 3. When Jesus gave discipline to correct thinking on different matters, what was the underlining issue? Was it the ‘issue’ or the mental process, thinking as the flesh and not of the spirit?

These are rhetorical questions I just thought of. I am in no way labeling you as fleshly what so ever brother. I just invite you to think on these things in association with ALL decisions we make. Our goal is to rule in heaven along side our Master. We want to make decisions that he is pleased and overjoyed with. We do not just want to be mere integrity keepers, we want continue making our calling sure by making all the necessary sacrifices of personal inclinations, because ultimately we want to be fully inclined and in line with the mind of Christ.

Thank you sister jacqueline, and Peter K, for your interesting feedbacks,
In this days I am concerned about the governing body, of JW, in tbeing so often present trough their broadcasts, and streamings, in elders meeting, in the Congregational meetings.
Was it for Brother Russel, also important to be present so often, in the classes of Bible Students in that period?
and what are the Bible Students thinking about this issue?

    • Jacqueline (Bible Student)

Enzo, I too have no beef with regular Jehovah witnesses rank and file but the governingbody wants to be worshipped. I refuse to do it. I have actually been in Patterson on one occasion when suddenly in the tunnel every body got quiet and started gettig over to the side. I tried to ask and see what was going on. I shushed!. It turns out it was a governing body member or two walking with their young men carrying their bag like servants. They looked down at the floor as they passed (some, quite a few). The governingbody members accepted this conduct (we were going to dinner in the tunnels). I said to my sister in law and Brother in law. You have come to this? I couldn’t believe these men let those 50 or so people adore them. I watched everything on those premises and the governingbody are Gods. They insist on their word being it or you will be put out in the middle of the night with no one to pick you up. It has happened. I happened to have my RV when after working like an animal, I couldn’t stay parked behind the gates or inside the building when Monday morning came. One guard saw my vehicle and said I will tell them to send another guard because I will sit and look at your vehicle all night. It created a problem but was really a mistake. But fear of the governing body causes the grown 50 year old men to act without feeling. I speak actual experiences from many visits for days at a time there. They are haughty men when you come near them and if you speak they look at you as if they are unapproachable. I observed this.

    Dear Peter,
What you said, could be indeed a possibility, I hade never seen these scriptures from that option..
A relative of me, is a JW, and is going to marry someone who isn’t a JW,.
She is going to be noted, or signed, despite her future man, is studying the Bible.
Everyone in the family has decided to not go when she gets married, and give a party., they are elders, pionieers, And if they are going they are loosing their privileges in the Congregations, thus therefore they are limiting their association with her.
I have decided with my wife, to remain in touch with her, and to comfort her, and her parents who are having great stress, because of these organizational rules, that I personally can not ffind a scripture in the Bible where green light is given for such rules.
Of course marrying in the Lord is important, and has his benefits, like you mentioned. But commanding the brothers to limit their association in such cases, is for me going behind what is written….
We will go when they are going to marry, and also to the party.. My relative says that if whe are going, we are a bad example for the congregation, and they will not permit me for a while to give a talk inthe Congregation.. I said to him that I have no problem with that, and that I will follow Jesus example to remain iin touch with that couple, and their parents, and comfort, them, and being gentile, patience, that’s more important than punishing, and to strictly hold on strictly on organizazional rules, that are not found in this particular cases any foundation in the Scriptures.
    Your brother in faith,
    PS: sorry for my English…

    • Jacqueline (Bible Student)

Enzo BLESS YOU! I always ask myself “What would Jesus do” not what would the organization say. Imagine all the other people will learn to dislike all witnesses not listen to them. And this is what they call persecution when people turn them away.
I experienced the same thing at a recent funeral with an attendance of over 500 for my brother. Two of my elder brothers, their pioneer wives and adult pioneer children plus in laws etc, launch a campaign against me openly that was designed to cause a heart attack. I will write how the elders and other family responded. It will shock you.
I hope this family member will use this opportunity to escape this religion and that the new spouse will not come into this diabolical corporate system.
Please go and support this poor relative. How cruel. Worse than most of Christianity. They foster love not shunning. Take Care, watch the Holy Spirit support you. I felt it in my situation.

  • Enzo

Thank you for your biblical answer..
But is the scriptures you mentioned, the case of two persons who are already married, and one of them becomes a Believer, or a Bible Student?
Or are I wrong interpreting thiese scriptures?
    Your brother in faith,

    • Peter K. (admin)

Enzo, Since the passage does not specify, I think the Apostle Paul had both situations in mind. What do you think?

Hi, I am a Jehovah Witnesses, from Europe, and I am very grateful I have discovered this website.. I have alsays being interested in Pastor Russels Teachings, and to have the possibilty to read his books , its a great blessing for me.
Itrough your site I discovered that the Bible Students are still existing, something I couldn’t immagine..
Therefore trough your website I have listen to a few talks , also on the LAbible Students.com website, and I liked it, and I am being build up in a spiritual way..
I have decided to remain in touch with you, because your love and apprecciation for the Scripture , and the desire to develop the character of our father Jehovah, and his beloved son Jesus, is so admirable
    from your brother in faith
    Enzo,
PS: is there a Bible Student class in Europe?

    • Peter K. (admin)

      Enzo,

There are Bible Student congregations in various European countries. You can request that information at the link below:

thank you Peter for your response, and your kindness..
A question: is being signed, or noted, in the Congregation being practised by the Bible Students? An example: if someone will date someone who is not a Bible Student, and then decide to marry him, or her.. What will the ecclesia do? Will they limit their association, with this brother or sister , and will there be a talk , so that the whole congregation or ecclesia will signe this person? I have difficult to acept that this is the scriptural way to handle it.. I have read this issue of being noted or signe in the letter of Thessalonicians, but not in the context of marrying, but someone who dont want to work , .. What do you thiink dear Peter?
        Your brother in faith,

        • Peter K. (admin)

Enzo – No. There is no embarrassing public announcements or any ill treatment from the elders or congregation to any who marry one who is not a Bible Student. It does not happen often and one consequence could be any pressure or conflict from the non Bible Student spouse. Sometimes the Bible Student will stop meeting with us because it is easier than having conflict with their spouse. However some non Bible Student spouses have become Bible Students.

Although the Bible directs the anointed to marry believers it permits marriage to those not in the faith.

          1 Cor 7.12-13 (nasb) ”
But to the rest I say, not the Lord, that if any brother has a wife who is an unbeliever, and she consents to live with him, he must not divorce her. And a woman who has an unbelieving husband, and he consents to live with her, she must not send her husband away.”

1 Pet 3:1 (NASV) “In the same way, you wives, be submissive to your own husbands so that even if any of them are disobedient to the word, they may be won without a word by the behavior of their wives,”

Please refer and meditate on the words of brother CTR in Studies in the Scriptures [F513] “Only in the Lord”. It will give you both insight and a better perspective as a fellow brothren of the ecclesia, that of understanding and divine mind in this matter. As both Br.CTR and Saint Paul mentions, I am not lording over your faith, but encouraging the view of the divine mind and will of Jehovah God.

I would also regress to page [F509] also to consider, of which what I personally have undertaken due to the admonishment of Christ Jesus my Lord, Mediator, and King, Saint Paul the Apostle, and Bro.CTR ‘a’ faithful steward, and my own bible trained conscience.

      Mt 19:12, 1 Co 7:6-40, ref:[R900 : page 3] THE TIME IS SHORT.

Also “has a wife” does not indicate “to marry”. Paul doesn’t say any brother who ‘wants to marry an unbeliever’… rather be indicates that if that brother becomes consecrated WHILE married. Consider the context of Chapter 7 in its entirety please. “Marry only in the Lord” is not a suggestion for those who seek to get married, it is a statement and command. Again “that if any brother has a wife [not seeks a wife] who is an unbeliever” does not permit marriage outside consecrated brothers. (consecrated, justified believers, etc in my opinion are to marry like individuals, according to the PRINCIPLE of the context of the scriptures.

Wander what Jehovah thinks of this back and forth. Prey for forgiveness…

  • I read; WE BELIEVE.
I do not agree with, “•Jesus returned and has been invisibly present on earth since the early days of the Watchtower Bible and Tract Society.”

Jesus second coming will be after the tribulation, He will rise the dead, lift them and his people off the earth. After he does that, he destroy every living thing on the planet.

    • Kevin Anthony

Speculation, and conjecture. You misunderstand the difference between Christ’s parousia (presence), improperly translated coming, and His setting up of the Kingdom to bless all the nations of the earth. Your god is a god of hate, ours is a God of love, and truth, and will bless all mankind. This is testified in the Scriptures, do the research.

  • Kevin Anthony

.That’s why Jehovahs Witnesses are so appealing to many. They teach things that are truthful, yet have added, and taken away so much, there is no way this group is speaking for God directly. The Bible Students, I believe, retain the last of the body members of Christ.

    • hank

That’s why they have millions coming to the truth. The Bible Students from of old follow the nation of Israel of old. How is that?

When Jesus was preaching on the earth the nation of Israel was in a covenant relationship with their heavenly Father Jehovah. Is 64:8, “But now , O Jehovah you are our Father.”

The early Bible Students were also in a covenant with Jehovah their Father.

So what happened to the two groups? Well the first group who had their religious ones identify themselves by saying, “We are Abraham’s offspring.” John 8:33

Did Jesus disagree with them? “I know that you are Abraham’s offspring.” John 8:37

So how does this happy agreement on this turn to a unhappy disagreement? “But you are seeking to kill me, because my word makes no progress among you.”

What problem does that present for those who are in that covenant? NEW LIGHT!!! Those two bad words, which modern day Bible Students hate with a passion.

Haggai was just one of many prophets who foretold the reason why this would happen to the majority of the nation of Israel.

“This is what Jehovah of armies says, ‘Ask, please, the priests about the law: “If a man carries holy flesh in the fold of his clothing, and his clothing touches bread or stew or wine or oil or any sort of food, will it become holy?”‘”
      The priests answered: “No!”
“Haggai then asked: “If someone who is unclean from contact with a dead body touches any of these things, will it become unclean?”
The priests answered: “It will become unclean.”
So Haggai said: “‘That is how this people is, and that is how this nation is before me,’ how all the work of their hands is: whatever they present there is unclean.'”

The reason why the Bible Students got stuck is the same reason as the nation of Israel. Is 48:6, “From now on I am announcing new things to you.”

Is that not what happened? As new light came many Bible Students fell away. They had what they wanted and wanted no more. What did that leave them without? Is 48:6, “Guarded secrets that you have not known.”

Yes when them secrets come out the new group of Bible Students have no clue what they mean. They talk like the Pharisee’s who said we are the offspring of Abraham. We are the ones who go by the studies from Pastor Russell.

Not only that but the Israel of God has done what Isaiah asked. Is 48:6, “Will you not declare it.”

Why I doubt if any here will deny that the Israel of God has been used to carry it out.

      • Peter K. (admin)

Hank – Comparing us to the Pharisees?  Ouch!  Hey, I thought we were pals!  LOL.  Well, I do applaud you for quoting scriptures.

You have made several statements of opinion.  Does the Bible support your conclusions?

Comparing Bible Students to unfaithful Israel at the time of Jesus is imply a biased opinion.  I could make the same comparison with the Baptists or the JW Organization or any other group.  Such comparison’s are not credible without providing specific concrete evidence.

Basically you are arguing that just like natural Israel at the time of Jesus, Bible Students are rejecting new light.

You said, “NEW LIGHT!!! Those two bad words, which modern day Bible Students hate with a passion.”

No Hank.  Bible Students are receptive to new light when it is in harmony with what we have already proven from scripture.  What we object to is supposed new light which contradicts the old light.  That makes the old light error right???? For example, how many times has the Watchtower organization flip flopped on whether the people of Sodom and Gomorrah will come back in the earhly kingdom?  Also, part of Ruthorford’s new light was rejecting Bible prophecy indicating the nation of Israel will be re-established.  OOPS!

Could it be Hank that you are picking on Bible Students because you find yourself unsettled by the turmoil and contradictions surrounding today”s Watchtower?

  • Hank

    To Peter;

I do not mind at all.

    Hank

  • Hank

    To Peter;

Thank you for your comment. After reading Mikes fears and concerns, it appeared to mean the second death and being a sinner worries him.

Now Peter, I don’t believe you would do the following. You and another person are at war, and as soldiers you found a house to stay at. During the night the enemy placed mines around the house. Waking you up was a call from the commander, saying they spotted the enemy placing the minds but you will have to stay there for a day until the helicoptic picks them up.

Your fellow soldier is having very serious concerns, and he is seriously thinking of making a run through the field, would you say that either way we may get blown up, so by running through the field it will be no different. We will face the same thing. The loud noise of the helicopter might trigger the mines to go off, but running may also.

Would you not point both ways out? Or would you not tell him the message you received an invite him to go walk out and find the group?

What I am trying to convey is, if second death bothers him, and practicing sin bothers him, the Volumes will point that out in more than one place a number of times. Now if he wants to become a Bible Student and except that, thats fine with me. It is just that he should not use that as a reason to leave or blame the others.

Ps 119:165 reads,”Great peace have they that love the law; And they have no occasion of stumbling.”

And the next verse shows who they look to for salvation,”I have hoped for thy salvation, O Jehovah,And have thy commandments.”

And because of your love of freedom of speech I find very good, and hope that you also someday will have life everlasting.

And to help him again remember Paul fought with his flesh all the time. But if we,”In my distress I cried unto Jehovah,And he answered me.” Ps 120:1

But we must keep doing that for we all sin!

    Hank

    • Peter K. (admin)

Hank – Thank you. Good comments. Now, if it were me, I would probably run outside screaming like a hysterical idiot and get blown up. Seriously though, the second death is a very serious topic. For those who consecrate (baptized into Christ and receiving the holy spirit), these are on trial for life now, as the Ransom and Justification is applied to them now in this age rather than in the kingdom. If they later reject Christ and continue sinning with no effort to reform, then yes they would be in danger of second death. The Ransom could not save them a second time in the Paradise Earth kingdom. We all get one full opportunity to receive the Ransom. So, one must count the cost (Luke 14:28-32). Luke 9:62 (NASV) says, “But Jesus said to him, “No one, after putting his hand to the plow and looking back, is fit for the kingdom of God.”” So no one should consecrate to take up their cross and follow Jesus (Luke 9:23) down the narrow way (Matt 7:14) unless they are prepared to make a full life commitment.

Thanks Hank. By the way, I hope you don’t mind that sometimes I like to pull your chain and joke around with you.
