Ask Jacqueline

Hello my name is Jacqueline and I was a loyal witness for over 60 yrs. I moved when the organization moved.  I have been an aux. and a regular pioneer, aiding many to come to a knowledge of the truth.  I am a third generation witness.  I have many family members who are still witnesses.  My Crisis of Conscience began when I became aware of the governing body’s great influence and encroachment on Jesus’ place in the congregation.  It seems he was mentioned less and less each year, but the governing body scores of times during the meetings.  I left in August 2009 and went back to the original Bible Students in January 2010.  As a” Holistic Alternative Psychology Practitioner”, I was also disturbed over the many pedophile cases that came my way, done by elders and other brothers within the congregation.  I made the society aware.  Little did I know it created a file on me in Bethel.  I thought I was making them aware of something they didn’t know about.  I was wrong. They already knew and threatened to disfellowship me if I cooperated with one case.  I had a ” CRISIS OF CONSCIENCE” and went in “SEARCH OF CHRISTIAN FREEDOM” IN CHRIST.

I am here only to help ones that have come to a crisis where “THEY” have decided to leave the Corporation, need help and Christian Fellowship.  Sometimes we don’t know where to go.  So it is with this attitude and mindset of the Lord Christ Jesus that I want to do what I can, if the Lord permits. Additionally, I prayed hard before deciding to reach out and help if someone needed it. I could have been satisfied with just escaping myself. I was on a sinking luxury ship, I prayed for help. And along came a little  TUGBOAT. (The Bible Students). How could I not throw the lifeline to the ones that had jumped without knowing about the little Tugboat. Torgue, Tug placement and Momentum allows a little tugboat to pull even a big ship. There is lots of room on board for those that need something less polished, sleek, fancy and slick. Just plain old Bible , Jehovah and Jesus. No fancy building, just love and trust. The little Tugboat was sent by Jehovah I feel to rescue me and others, that need something that just sticks to the Bible without Big Corporation laws and by-laws.

Ask a  question, share your experience, or just blog and talk.  We all would love to hear from you.  This is a fear- free zone.  Comment on questions, reply, or just follow our blog.

In Christ,  Jacqueline.

Just a small update on recent news events.

The news report linked below talks about the complaint Barbara Anderson recently filed with the New York District Attorney’s Office citing 775 cases of unreported Child Sexual Abuse. If the story is accurate, and if I understood the news report correctly, those 775 cases covered only a time span of 4 years–from 1997 to 2001. The story also mentions that Watchtower “used donation money to settle child sex abuse cases out of court.”

From: WGAL News July 11, 2018 (report is 3:39 in length)

    Published on Jul 11, 2018
    (begin quote)
WGAL reporter Beccah Hendrickson continues her investigation into the handling of child abuse reports within the Jehovah’s Witness organization.

In part three of her series, Hendrickson interviews former Jehovah’s Witness researcher Barbara Anderson, who recently filed a complaint with the Attorney General of New York, requesting an investigation into the mishandling of child abuse cases.

Witnesses face increasing scrutiny for decades of failing to report abuse, which has endangered thousands of victims and cost the Watchtower organization millions of dollars in civil settlements.

I saw Barbara on TV last week talking about this. The governing body still does not care. Parents should now be held accountable along with the GB because now they know not to let their kids go door to door with the predator filled watchtower society. Hold these parents accountable!

      Hey Greg,
Was in contact with mconf app developer last week. Sent info about problem to be looked into. The app has been updated but he told me that it wasnt on their end but thinks it is a problem with certificate on other end of things.Just passing that along, perhaps it could be looked into further by someone who knows about such things. Will be getting a new cpu this week, my son accidentally broke other one. 😞. Perhaps I will have microphone on this one.

      • Jacqueline (Bible Student)

I spoke with Br. Kent and he said he corrected the certificate problems last week. I will alert him to come on here and converse with you if he can.

      • greg (Bible Student)

        Hi Brandon.

I just updated mconf, and tried to log in, and there’s no longer an error message. But I still couldn’t get the Testimony meeting room to finish loading. So maybe we’re getting closer.

Sad to hear about your computer. Give your son a hug for me, OK? and one for you too! We missed you last night, so I’m glad to hear from you. Hopefully we’ll hear you next week. 🙂

        Love and caring,

  • Jacqueline (Bible Student)

What an insightful read in the google alert today. I agree with so much of what he says about man’s misuse of the Bible.http://jamaica-gleaner.com/article/commentary/20180702/michael-abrahams-why-bible-dangerous-book

    • TedR (Bible Student)

I agree Sr Jacqueline. The problem isn’t Gods word! It is mans misuse of it to back their own agenda. We see this so much in the “organization”. They use scriptures counseling against bad association and not having fellowship with those who reject Christ, and turn them into the extreme practice of shunning even family. They use Gods counsel on having respect for blood and not engaging in the pagan practice of eating the blood of sacrificed animals and turn it into the extreme of not accepting blood transfusions! They use the scriptures regarding two witness’s to a wrong as an excuse to cover up and not act on child molestation. The result, broken families, suicides, early deaths from not accepting blood, and scarred children, many who are shunned because they could not stand staying in the “organization”. You can prove almost anything from the Bible if you look hard enough and twist it to your agenda. It is a shame that people are so blinded that they accept these things without sincere research into what the Bible actually says.

    • greg (Bible Student)

It brings to mind something George Bernard Shaw said:

“No man ever believes that the Bible means what it says: He is always convinced that it says what he means.”

  • Jacqueline (Bible Student)

My uncle died last night at 98 1/2 years old. his mom died at 100. he is the last of the old generations of witnesses in my family. Now my many brothers, sisters and I are the old ones. Closeted escapees from the organization will have to quiet still as I have found out this morning more have left since I did and I am their “old one” now. They want to go to the funeral, I advised, be courageous you are an adult and not be afraid because this is about family not corporations.

    • Nubby Tope

Sorry to hear about your Uncle, Jacqueline. My prayers are with you at this time.

    • greg (Bible Student)

Sending hugs to you, and offering prayers for all the hurting and struggling ones in and around your family,

When you said about yourself now being the “old one”, that hits home hard with me. I get it. It’s kind of an appreciation of something that’s been very dear to my heart, too. I saw my great-grandfather, and several great-grandmothers all die and leave that “old one” torch to their offspring. I’ve seen my grandparents die leaving the “old one” status to my parents, and now my remaining parent is at an age he’ll soon be passing that “old one” status to me.

Status isn’t quite the word I’m looking for. Sobering responsibility is closer to what I’m picturing. But I see it in the other direction, too. I see my kids getting to the point where I’m already their “old one” and strangely enough, I’m still waiting to even feel grown up. But breaking with my family’s tradition (they were all JW’s too) I’ve long appreciated that I’ve had to become an “old one” unto myself, and to my wife, children, and grandchildren. At one time their seemed to be safety, protection, security in belonging, but eventually I had to come out from under that deceptive blanket and stand up for myself and my own beliefs. It really is sobering, and overwhelming at times to contemplate such responsibility. For better or worse, we find ourselves in the “spotlight”, so to speak, in that we are often in a position that affords us great opportunities of influence, and it asks of us that we set a good example.

Am I making any sense at all? I’m sure I don’t know.

When I grow up, I just wanna be a kid.

      Love, condolences, and hugs,

    • TedR (Bible Student)

Love and prayers be with you dear Sister. So sorry for your loss and the turmoil you go through. May our Lord be with you!

  • Nubby Tope

    Hi Jacqueline,

Nubby again! Sorry to be a pain! I’ve looked at the BIBLE STUDENTS CHANNEL on YouTube and saw a collection of clips from this year’s Florida Convention, but they’ve disappeared now. There was a talk by Bro. Obi (?) and his topic was PRAISE THE LORD AT ALL TIMES and this was a fantastic talk! Loved it! I don’t know if that’s his first name or surname but I believe he said his wife’s name is Janet, he’s based in Pennysylvania.

Just wondered where these clips have gone, any more clips to go on this channel, and I must congratulate Bro. for his really good talk.

  • Nubby Tope

    Hi there,

Just seen on YouTube a press thing in harrisberg where Barbara Anderson speaks about child sex abuse. 30 minute item where she talks for a few minutes. VERY GOOD!!!

    • Jacqueline (Bible Student)

Nubby thanks for the link info. I have been following this for days now and speaking with a couple of reps about a case that is huge but we need to keep very quiet until law passes in other states. If you are her facebook friend you see all the photos.
I was to be a spesker during the July 3-7 rally but I would have had the closing session and I needed to be in another place by then. Barbara is better suited for huge events We all decided. I like being behind the scene as support.

Lots of things are taking place in the world this week, and there are lots of reactions, too.

Has anyone seen the 2018 JW Convention Video? Does anyone have any of their own reactions? Has anyone heard directly from any JW’s how the video (link directly below) is being received? It sure seems that the Governing Body is now trying to spin-doctor the “Persecution” aspect in the minds of the remaining JW’s.

Secretly leaked 2018 Convention Video (about 6 minutes)

And how about this “street preacher” that’s reading segments of selected Watchtower articles outside the convention in San Diego? Do these “Elders/Attendants” even see how conspicuously controlling they seem to the rest of the watching world? I mean, they won’t even let people walking to and from listen to someone (who the elders don’t like) reading the Watchtower to them.

Watchtower Control Jehovah Witness Convention San Diego 2018 (about 18 minutes, and only one of several similar)

(Oh, and just to see a vivid demonstration of how LOVE works in the JW organization, watch and hear the disdain of the elder at the 4:27 mark.)

And an ex-JW sister named Denise shared some encouraging news about how individual JW’s and families are waking up.

Lovely JW News from Lovely Ex JW Denise. (about 20 minutes)

I like the comment made by one person who watched this video: “She put it so well when she said WE were once just like most brainwashed ones still inside. By the grace of God we were set free. Let’s work toward loving them out of the organization, and not hating them further inside it.”

Was the following link posted earlier? I’ve rather lost track. If it was, I apologize for duplicating it. (I even looked through the recent postings just in case…) The link is to a few lines of text posted by an individual who is PIMO (Physically IN Mentally OUT) while they were standing doing cart witnessing. I’m really grateful for the glimpse of their inner world that they shared. It sounded just like something I would have wrote.

Me, a Pimo doing the cart service (about a 1 minute read)

I find it very helpful to hear about experiences like this particular one because it really helps me to maintain my resolve to not hate, and to always aim to only respond with love, patience, and caring. It’s all too easy to focus on the bad things and get stuck in bitterness.

In love and hope to all who are struggling to find freedom, peace, love, acceptance, comfort and hope.

Does anyone know what the new release is? I know that they usually put them online but they only out Day 1 and 3 on there this year. I like to see what they teach currently but they seemed to have only put outs kids stuff or really low-level stuff.

      • greg (Bible Student)

        Hi Chris.

Although I cannot vouch for it’s accuracy, I did find this article which has links to the 2018 Convention Releases:

        And one person commented:
“No books – just music and videos? Instead of healthy spiritual food explaining the ‘deep things of God,’ is Jehovah now just providing a happy meal and purple drink?”

      • exile

I attended all three days of the assembly and the only release I can think of was the movie about Jonah that was shown on Sunday and which can only be obtained by downloading it from the jw.org website. (No more dvds.)

        • greg (Bible Student)

Thanks for your posting your comment. So I’m wondering if you’d be willing to share your eye-witness take on things?

I scrolled through the Jonah video, and read through the Convention Program and the discourse titles and found myself very disturbed, very worried, and very sad because I suddenly started feeling acutely protective and very helpless. I recognized the many powerful dangers which were hidden in the messages, and I’m aware that I can very do little to protect anyone.

Rather than write many words here about everything that I thought was wrong with the song, videos, and talks, I want to focus my attention on caring for any hurting individuals.

If anyone has attended the convention and is interested in discussing their reactions to the Convention Program, I’ll be very happy to offer listening and support to you. And for any of you who may find yourselves required to suffer through the program for what ever reason, I sincerely feel for you and want to make a standing offer of caring and support.

I am sitting in Birmingham, Al listening to the first Black female astronaut to go into outerspace. Dr. Mae C Jemison has us spellbound describing what she saw of God’s Creation. The thin layers of atmosphere that protects us brought her to her knees literally. She knows there is a Creator. I felt privileged to be with a person who has seen God’s Glory up close. What she saw shows additional caring hope that God will correct things.HE surrounds the earth she said with layers of protection.

    • Nubby Tope

When I was a kid I dreamed of being an astronaut! After God makes our Earth a Paradise I wonder if He’ll ever terraform Mars? I see NASA launched another rover to Mars today. Mars once had oceans and a thicker atmosphere so I wonder if it’ll ever change.

      • Jacqueline (Bible Student)

Nubby Tope, she saw possibilities as she hurled through space. She bowed in humble awe to him as she saw the lights of the poles, but the thin protective layer encircling the earth like a swaddling band convinced her of the power of the Maker. I could talk to her every day about what she witnessed. Personally I believe we will dial a position or planet and tessa there though a wormhole or something. He has not done this for nothing. Our eyes and ears will be overjoyed and amazed.

    • just Stay Sweet and Good

Jacqueline…….you speak with pure poetry. Your love shows

      • Nubby Tope

Stay Sweet and Good, hi! Yes, Jacqueline does speak pure poetry! I really hope she’s right. The wonders we’re discovering now just think of what is yet to come – makes the mind boggle! And the lady astronaut now has a unique perspective too and all this for our Creator’s glory! And He made it for our pleasure. A symbiotic relationship?

      • Jacqueline (Bible Student)

Yes JSS&Good, I attended out class reunion for our 70th birthdays and a college graduation by a niece. The Christian liberty I have also allows my young family members to be free to get higher education so they don’t work do hard. I try to impress on them that God has marvelous things here on earth amidst the chaos that is good and enjoyable. Enslavement to the governing body prohibits us from looking upward to God and Jesus and thanking him for now and the future enjoying his outerspace. We probably will look back and say, this was worth it, glad I was born!
Now got to get back home!
PS: We were able to destroy that mindset of shunning among most of us. Some shinned the graduate and me but some overcame the hate of the governing body. Much accomplished.

  • Nubby Tope

Forgive me Jacqueline, when I looked at that link, I saw some JWs had been scammed out of $16 million but where does it say a company was run by a JW’s company? Its early Sunday morning and my brain is still “mushy peas” so I’m not on Planet Earth yet!

    • Jacqueline (Bible Student)

Nubby Tope, thank you for the correction. I posted without fully reading the article it was another Ponzi scheme that involved a company run by 2 witness men in the past that scammed witnesses. I will correct that. I was doing 3 things at once while posting last night. Thanks.

  • Jacqueline (Bible Student)

This article is from my google alert and Nubby Tope made me aware that it is important only because it mentions a Ponzi scheme similar to the facebook scandal on Jwitnesses in the past.
