Ask Jacqueline

Hello my name is Jacqueline and I was a loyal witness for over 60 yrs. I moved when the organization moved.  I have been an aux. and a regular pioneer, aiding many to come to a knowledge of the truth.  I am a third generation witness.  I have many family members who are still witnesses.  My Crisis of Conscience began when I became aware of the governing body’s great influence and encroachment on Jesus’ place in the congregation.  It seems he was mentioned less and less each year, but the governing body scores of times during the meetings.  I left in August 2009 and went back to the original Bible Students in January 2010.  As a” Holistic Alternative Psychology Practitioner”, I was also disturbed over the many pedophile cases that came my way, done by elders and other brothers within the congregation.  I made the society aware.  Little did I know it created a file on me in Bethel.  I thought I was making them aware of something they didn’t know about.  I was wrong. They already knew and threatened to disfellowship me if I cooperated with one case.  I had a ” CRISIS OF CONSCIENCE” and went in “SEARCH OF CHRISTIAN FREEDOM” IN CHRIST.

I am here only to help ones that have come to a crisis where “THEY” have decided to leave the Corporation, need help and Christian Fellowship.  Sometimes we don’t know where to go.  So it is with this attitude and mindset of the Lord Christ Jesus that I want to do what I can, if the Lord permits. Additionally, I prayed hard before deciding to reach out and help if someone needed it. I could have been satisfied with just escaping myself. I was on a sinking luxury ship, I prayed for help. And along came a little  TUGBOAT. (The Bible Students). How could I not throw the lifeline to the ones that had jumped without knowing about the little Tugboat. Torgue, Tug placement and Momentum allows a little tugboat to pull even a big ship. There is lots of room on board for those that need something less polished, sleek, fancy and slick. Just plain old Bible , Jehovah and Jesus. No fancy building, just love and trust. The little Tugboat was sent by Jehovah I feel to rescue me and others, that need something that just sticks to the Bible without Big Corporation laws and by-laws.

Tip for today to help you live with confidence.
    How To Avoid An Argument
Be more of a listener than a talker. Be more of a teacher than an arguer.
Instead of becoming defensive, accept that the other person might not know any better.
Don’t assume that what you know is obvious to others. It wasn’t always obvious to you.
Challenging a person’s beliefs can be perceived as an attack on their self-worth. Give them a way to save face.
If they are blood relatives, remember part of you is in them and them in you so we wouldn’t deliberately hurt outselves. Cheers

Ever wonder why the 2 baptism questions were changed to have you acknowledge you know you were under the organization and it’s rules? Thought it was “New Light”? Nope, this is one of the Church of Christ lawsuits that gave this “New Light”. Especially starting at #24.
This is just a nice read to get a judicial idea of hierarchy & congregational religions.
Just a little info to have .

Rena, this is the baptism questions for 1956 then the big change in 1985.

Watchtower changes Baptism Questions to include Dedication to Organization
“Therefore now with your mouth make a public declaration of your faith by answering these two questions that I shall ask you, and let your answers be hearable, that all those about you may be witnesses to the declaration that you solemnly make:
      (1) Have you recognized yourself before Jehovah God as a sinner who needs salvation, and have you acknowledged to him that this salvation proceeds from him the Father through his Son Jesus Christ?
      (2) On the basis of this faith in God and in his provision for salvation, have you dedicated yourself unreservedly to God to do his will henceforth as he reveals it to you through Jesus Christ and through the Bible under the enlightenment of the holy spirit?” Watchtower 1956 July 1 p.407
An important comment was made in 1955, something significantly contradicted in the arrangement introduced in 1985.
“A Christian, therefore, cannot be baptized in the name of the one actually doing the immersing or in the name of any man, nor in the name of any organization, but in the name of the Father, the Son and the holy spirit.” Watchtower 1955 July 1 p.411
“We do not dedicate ourselves to a religion, nor to a man, nor to an organization. No, we dedicate ourselves to the Supreme Sovereign of the Universe, our Creator, Jehovah God himself. This makes dedication a very personal relationship between us and Jehovah.” Watchtower 1966 October 1 pp.603-604
In total disregard for these previous comments and Biblical examples, in 1985 the baptism questions changed, with the candidate having to announce their desire to become associated with an Organization.
“At the close of the convention baptism talk, the baptism candidates will be in position to answer with depth of understanding and heartfelt appreciation two simple questions that serve to confirm that they recognize the implications of following Christ’s example.
The first question is: On the basis of the sacrifice of Jesus Christ, have you repented of your sins and dedicated yourself to Jehovah to do his will?
The second is: Do you understand that your dedication and baptism identify you as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses in association with God’s spirit-directed organization? Having answered yes to these questions, candidates are in a right heart condition to undergo Christian baptism.” Watchtower 1985 June 1 p.30

      • Just say sweet and good

Jacqueline The 2015 edition on the book “What can the Bible teach us” on Page 194 Paragraph 24 says: “Remember you are not dedicated to a human, an organization, or a work. You have dedicated your life to Jehovah”

        • Jacqueline (Bible Student)

Yes they say that but in a legal battle you must be told you are aware you are under the organization. This woman was not told she was under the Church of Christ by laws as an organization. Also like the witnesses you can’t voluntarily just quit going, they say she was a Church of Christ for life and needed to send a letter to them. Who do these men think they are in organizations, owning humans?
Organizations of religions are a fraud, you can get to God without them. These articles quoted from witness court cases a lot. No Christian should be in court as much as this organization. They think that is a good thing but it isnt, they are like a terminal cancer, you have to keep fighting them until they kill you.

What is your Attitudes toward the org

    • Jacqueline (Bible Student)

Hello and thanks for coming to the site to communicate. I will post these links for you to look through to see what the Bible has to say about organizations representing themselves as Jesus Christs’ kingdom now on earth. Scroll thru these and see if it answers your question. I don’t know if you need to translate these pages but sure you know how if necessary.

Now I will tell you my personal view from experience with dealing with the governing body run organization.
An organization uses the letter of the law and enforces it because it is an entity and does not have a beating heart. It has to preserve itself because it runs on money, with huge buildings, cars, utilities, upkeep and the list goes on and on.
So I would never send one of my sons to Bethel to work for nothing and be sent home to start life without the young years to get educated. I have had siblings and many relatives in Bethel. I found it to be racist when it was in New York city and it almost destroyed one of my dear cousins faith in God. He was able to recover and realize he should have gone to Patterson or Wallkill. I remember once being in the tunnel at Patterson going to eat when everyone got quiet and moved over to the side standing still. I wondered out loud and was cautioned to be quiet and still. It was some of the governing body members walking and talking with their valets carrying their items going the opposite way. They walked and talked without so much as a look at any of the homage paying brothers standing at attention. I couldn’t keep quiet after seeing these men allowing this worship. I left there and never visited any of their properties again. I was there often when on tour. I have also gone to court with elders on a civil matter and saw the organization interject itself and behave worse than any non Christian entity according to the judge and the packed court. So hopefully you understand in conjunction with the Bible’s view I have had personal experiences with this organization at it’s worse. This is not said to hurt your feelings in any way or discourage you but to tell you the truth. I am not one of Jehovahs witnesses. I don’t dislike my witness brothers and sisters. I do however have contempt for the organization and it governing body SYSTEM because it does not have blood or a heart inside of it. Take Care of yourself, Jacqueline

    • Just Stay Sweet and Good

Just so impressed with the African brothers. Just to hear “What a Friend we have in Jesus” with all of those harmony notes did more for me than good preachin. The truth is a place in our hearts we have to find ourselves. We know it when we hear it and we can not ever forget it and no amount of rhetoric can push it out when we stand firm for JEHOVAH and his designated channel JESUS OUR SAVIOR.

  • Jacqueline (Bible Student)

This is just an example of how hierarchy religious organizations can subvert justice. The governing body does this in the pedophile cases and the blood transfusion deaths. They won’t drop the doctrine of blood because of the potential lawsuits. Burned all of the pedophile papers.
This shows these groups do this.

This is a young lady’s experience sent to me by another brother that he felt was encouraging how she spoke very clearly her reason for leaving the organization.

  • Jacqueline (Bible Student)

Our Dutch and Netherland brothers now have a voice. They listen.

    • greg (Bible Student)

      Thanks, Jacqueline.

It’s a mix of feelings, isn’t it? I’m happy they are finally getting a voice. I’m deeply sad that they have experienced the events they now need to express.

The newspaper article says, “When Huiting told his parents, they decided not to report it to the police. An elder in the community advised against it. “Then there will be headlines in the newspaper and we don’t want that.””

I say, look at the headlines they’re getting now.

I also want to quote Hillary McFarland who wrote a book entitled “Quivering Daughters” wherein she reveals “the idolatry of patriarchal Christianity.” She said:

“It is a grave disservice to the heart, soul, body and spirit of a woman when she is given the subtle message that the truth of her own pain is not as important as the reputation of the ones who inflict it.”

Though her comment addresses women, it’s every bit as applicable to men too. I know because I’ve lived it.

The newspaper article also said, “One victim described the religious society as a “paradise for pedophiles”.

That comment reminded me of something I heard a comedian say back in the early 1990’s. He said:

“I got a knock on my door Saturday morning. There were 2 Jehovah’s Witnesses standing there wanting to know if I wanted to live forever in paradise. I replied, “Not if it’s with a bunch of Jehovah’s Witnesses.””

I can only wonder what he had experienced, and also about the countless numbers of people who heard him and agreed privately in their own hearts while holding their pain in isolating secrecy.

If anyone is looking for some reading material to help them on their own healing journey, may I wholeheartedly recommend “Legacy of the Heart: The Spiritual Advantages of a Painful Childhood” by Wayne Muller. It’s a FANTASTIC work!!

Warmest love to all you hurting ones,

      • Jacqueline (Bible student)

Greg, I have actually heard from victims in detail of their horrors and when I confronted my elder body as to the truthfulness of the statements, I was told they were all true. I was told to report it or tell the congregation would ruin the pedophile’s reputation. They knowingly continued book study in that home until all studies were removed from homes. He was still an active pedophile.
The district overseer threatened me with disfellowshipping on the spot, (he said bethel gve him authority, his name was Jackson), if I testified in court for one 20 year old victim named Chinita (she told her story here). I called The organization a sexual paradise in a six page letter to the governing body in 2000. They responded not to me but to my congregation elders and they made my life miserable until I walked out never to return in 2009.
I am glad I shared my private details with you on testimony meeting Saturday about my court battle with them on stalking and I actually won a restraining order that expires at my death only, and valid in 50 states of the United States.
I have never shared the details of that trial with any of my Bible student brothers until then. It was healing for me to tell somebody outside of family. You noticed there were missing pieces to the puzzle when you read I had such a restraining order.
Now the climate is okay for us to speak out against powerful organizations like the governing body of the witnesses.

        • greg (Bible Student)

I’m very glad our conversation was healing to you. I feel very privileged to have been entrusted with your story. Yes, the climate is changing now. Fear is being replaced by courage, silence is being replaced by voices, isolation is being replaced by community, and pain is being replaced by healing.

Thanks be to our wonderfully loving God and His Son, Jesus.
