The Testimony meeting is meant for sharing experiences and healing.  We know a lot who have been associated with the Jehovah’s Witnesses Organization are angry about their experiences.  The purpose of this meeting is not to attack the organization, but rather it is a public support group to help encourage those who have had hard experiences and to provide positive emotional and scriptural encouragement for enduring, progressing and growing in the Christian walk.  Your testimony meeting leader will help you feel comfortable and encouraged.

Call in 1/2 hour early for mic check and if you would like a meet and greet.

There will be two Testimony meetings each Friday, Saturday or Sunday, both at different times for your convenience, based on your time zone.

On the North American Testimony Meeting two Saturdays ago we briefly discussed various possible aspects of God’s strange deed. (Isaiah 28:21)

The following paragraphs are from Studies in the Scriptures, Volume 4, Chapter XI. I repost them here without comment except to say that I cannot read these sections without having vivid pictures evoked in my mind of the many events taking place today. While child sexual abuse, shunning, murder-suicides, “apostate” flash-mobs are making for scandalous news, the Governing Body of Jehovah’s Witnesses continue to maintain convictions that are injuring a great many persons, and continue to use fear to hold captive others. So for me the words of Brother Russell that I quote below seem to once again be taking on an aspect of fulfillment that I dare say he could scarcely have imagined.

I say no more but leave you to read and consider for yourself…

    -greg

    (Quotes begin now)

    [D541]
The battle of this great day of God Almighty will be the greatest revolution the world has ever seen because it will be one in which every principle of unrighteousness will be involved; for as truly in this judgment of the nations, as in the judgment of individuals, “there is nothing covered that shall not be revealed, and hid that shall not be known.” (Matt. 10:26) Behold, how, even now, the searchlight of general intelligence is discovering the secret springs of political intrigue, financial policies, religious claims, etc., and how all are brought to the bar of judgment, and by men, as well as by God, declared right or wrong as judged by the teachings of the Word of God—by the golden rule, the law of love, the examples of Christ, etc., all of which are coming into such remarkable prominence in the discussions of these times.

The battle of the great day, like every other revolutionary war, has its stages of gradual development. Back of every indication of strife are the inspiring causes, the real or fancied national and individual wrongs; next comes a keen appreciation of those wrongs by those who suffer from them; then generally follow various attempts at reform, which, proving abortive, lead to great controversies, wars of words, divisions, strife of opinions, and finally to revenge and strife of arms. Such is the order of the Battle of the Great Day of God Almighty. Its general character is that of a struggle of light against darkness, of liberty against oppression, of truth against error. Its extent will be worldwide—peasant against prince, pew against pulpit, labor against capital: the oppressed in arms against injustice and tyranny of every kind; and the oppressors in arms for the defense of what they have long considered to be their rights, even when seen to be encroachments upon the rights of others.

    [D543]

…Among the true people of God, who diligently apply their hearts unto instruction, his Word is sharper than any two-edged sword, truly “casting down imaginations [human reasonings] and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ” (2 Cor. 10:4,5);…

    [D548]
…None will be more surprised than the “powers of the heavens,” the great ones of present ecclesiastical control, who, going about to establish a plan of their own for the Lord, have neglected his plan as revealed in his Word. To these the Lord’s work of the next few years will indeed be a “strange work.” … Isa. 28:21,22

    [D550]

“And I will give it into the hands of the strangers for a prey, and to the wicked of the earth for a spoil: and they shall pollute it….Make a chain [bind, unite them together; let them make a common cause], for the land is full of bloody crimes, and the city [Babylon, Christendom] is full of violence. Wherefore I will bring the worst of the heathen, and they shall possess their houses: I will also make the pomp of the great to cease, and their honored places [their sacred places, their religious institutions, etc.] shall be defiled.” Ezek. 7:13-24

…Our opinion, however, is that “the worst of the heathen” are those in Christendom who are “without God” and without Christian sentiments or hopes; who hitherto have been restrained and held in check by ignorance, superstition and fear, but who in the dawn of the twentieth century are rapidly losing these restraining influences.

The Lord, by his overruling providence, will take a general charge of this great army of discontents—patriots, reformers, socialists, moralists, anarchists, ignorants and hopeless—and use their hopes, fears, follies and selfishness, according to his divine wisdom, to work out his own grand purposes in the overthrow of present institutions, and for the preparation of man for the Kingdom of Righteousness. For this reason only it is termed “The Lord’s great army.” None of his saints—none who are led by the spirit of God as sons of God are to have anything to do with that part of the “battle.”

    [D551]
It will be impossible to re-establish the present order, (1) because it has evidently outlived its usefulness, and is inequitable under present conditions; (2) because of the general diffusion of secular knowledge; (3) because the discovery that priestcraft has long blinded and fettered the masses with error and fear will lead to a general disrespect for all religious claims and teachings as of a piece with the discovered frauds; (4) because religious people in general, not discerning that God’s time has come for a change of dispensation, will ignore reason, logic, justice and Scripture in defending the present order of things.

Today February 10th, 2018 we will cancel the european testimony meeting and meet this evening for the North American at 7pm Central and 8pm Eastern standard time in the United States. Thank you so much see you this evening .

  • Jacqueline (Bible Student)

Good morning everyone, wow what a powerful testimony meeting weekend. There is more and I will discuss it with Br. Peter then get with everyone on testimony and discuss an important issue with you because it involves all of us that have had the courage to escape some of the worst abuse going on in the twentieth century inside an american organization. I have just got two stories that are in line with everyone else yet more dreadful but abusive.
I am finding out that all the ones leaving are the strong people, the most Christian people. We all have faults but if people knew the dark secrets the shunners are hoping we don’t reveal. A lot of the shunning is being done by family within the Jehovah witness organization that have almost criminal dark secrets.
So don’t ever think you are at fault for leaving. I am amazed that some of you are standing, it has to be God holding you up.
Sanura was on with us also but in my phone Saturday night. I will post the update when Henry awaken from his surgery tomorrow it will last 12 hours so it will be nighttime. See you.

It was really nice to be in a testimony meeting today. There was some problems with audio, because sometimes I heard and sometimes I didn’t hear anything, but that did not disturb too much. It was nice to meet new people also. I remember my first time in testimony meeting. I was very shy, I didn’t want to speak much, but now I am progressing. I don’t want to go under that shy cover again. But still I need more practicing. Thanx to you 🙂

    • Jacqueline (Bible Student)

I enjoyed the meeting also Marjo. I think because our brother wasn’t running it over his normal server and was in a meeting we had the problems. This evening we will probably have better reception. It is normally the biggest session.

  • Jacqueline (Bible Student)

Wow, it is 10:42pm Central time and 11:42 Eastern and we just ended our testimony meeting. We had 9 hook ups with an audience of 14 with 2 to some connections.
We discussed whether to take the Bread and Wine to whether all the things being put on youtube are actual experiences. We talked about depression and it’s effects and how the internet is helping to heal as we see we are not alone. The organization was an equal opportunity abusers in so many different ways.
I wonder if the governing body ever look at all those you tube testimonies and say “are we really that bad”? Maybe we should apologize!
Prudent, Godly men would realize THOUSANDS of people are not lying! How can they be so hardened? You can see the heart bleeding in some of the you tube postings. May God be with all of his tortured for Christ people. Good night

This cant be happening! Satan must be really against me. First my mic and now my laptop. Hopefully I can get that fixed. But my phone works.

    • Jacqueline (Bible Student)

Marjo when it rains it pours it seems some time.I hope you can use the phone to connect. I do quite well on my phone with testimony meeting.

      • Marjo

Solved the problem. It was the fan that went broken. Need to replace it. Remember to clean your pc fan from the dust in every 6 months. Dust is one of the reasons that breaks the computer. In every 6 minths there will be atleast a teaspoon of dust.

I can use my phone to connect but didnt get my mic to work. I have to try it another time.

Sister Jackie,Bro Henry,& Bro Kent,Just wanted to thank you all for supporting me Last Night on the Australian Site.We have Just changed the time to be more People friendly for any one in our region to come on line & Join in.Thanks again,& as time goes by may Jehovah our God direct honest truth seekers TO THIS SITE.May Jehovah bless you all.Bro Richard

        • Jacqueline (Bible Student)

You are welcome Br. Richard, the testimony meeting is for those that need to talk so just you opening it up for Australia means it was open to help. I thought my sleep would be disrupted looking at a phone screen at that hour (2am) but I drifted back into sleep. I tuned in briefly to the European testimonial meeting also at 10 am saturday for America. Our for North America starts in 30 minutes at 7pm CST so I will tune in for that one.

  • Ted R.

I would love to join in on the Testimony meetings. Unfortunately I am still underground within my household. My wife is still a witness, so I am forced to worship our Lord in secret until such time as Jehovah reveals it is time to come out. As most of you know who know me, my concern to come out now is due to my wife’s health issues. She suffers from anxiety and depression. We’ve been married 43 years in January over 20 of which were caring for here emotional needs. Otherwise I would have just come out with it. I have also developed severe health issues, Parkinson’s Disease. At this time I just try to keep my relationship stable since we need to care for each other. I will try to get on to listen but don’t be surprised if I am unable to share in the conversation. I look forward to the time when I can openly engage in the worship of our Lord.

    • Jacqueline (Bible Student)

TedR we understand. Now we know you can worship Jehovah in a prison cell alone in a dungeon. We can get to our Father directly thru Jesus and isn’t it amazing to experience the joy of knowing and feeling the Holy spirit on us and in us even tho we are not with others that share our faith.
You are blessed to have your wife in your household with you, enjoy her company and continue to watch out for her health and now yours. Earbuds might allow you to listen only also with your phone in your pocket. And this can be done on Wednesday night also, like a radio show. The Chicago Convention is coming up this weekend maybe you can sneak a peak. The talks are posted however after the convention. Take care of yourself. In Christian love Jacqueline

    • Richard Tazzyman

Dear Bro Ted,May Jehovah to Bless you.Like you I was exactly in the same position as a JW.My wife was born a JW,& I was attending from the age of 8/9.Many times after we were married 1968 I started to question the so called Truth of the JW Org,but every time it was Mentioned my wife became upset & would state the she did not want to lose me at Armagedon. But later on in our life in the late 1980s when our children were in their late teens & were starting to have trouble with the elders, she could see that we did not have the truth. We Gradually faded away, but my wife was very anti religon by this stage & wanted nothing to do with it.So after many years of Searching for the truth I found the Bible students in late 2009 in Victoria,Australia, attending my first BS Convention in Jan 2010,but by myself,as my wife was not Interested. At this convention, I for the first time in my Life knew I had found the truth that sets us free.During the next 12 months I just took it easy ,droping little hints here & there about what I had Learned,Slowly Introducing her to The bretheren whenever the opp arived.I was able to convince her to attend the 2011 convention,& do you know what? She also came to the same conclusion as I had the previous year.So my friend & brother searching for the truth,do not give up hope, tread slowly,Jehovah will over time help you to make a stand,& if your wife has a love of God(Which she has)then he will help both of you in your search for the truth that sets you Free!Your Brother in the truth,Richard.

  • Marjo

I have to say that these testimony meetings are like gathering around the table and talk about all kind of things. It is nice to hear and meet brothers and sisters from all over the world.

    • Jacqueline (Bible Student)

Marjo we enjoy your comments, so soft spoken. Hopefully on your side of the globe you are enjoying rich spiritual conversations with the European brothers. BTW Lee came on last night on North America testimony meeting and we had a nice group. Subjects were varied and we are getting to know each other. Take Care of the babies. Jacqueline

      • Marjo

I dont know why but those times in the kingdomhall I didnt raise my hand often. I guess I afraid the mic lol. But now in testimony meetings I have. It feels great when you can speak and others really do listen. And even english. I can say most witnesses didnt listen much in the kingdomhall but they were “listening”. Thats a big difference.

  • Marjo

If there is any other Finnish people in there reading this site, don’t be shy to come in the testimony meetings. You are very welcome to join in. They begin in Saturday 6pm in Finnish time.
