Order Free Book – Charles Taze Russell is not the Founder of the Jehovah’s Witnesses

OnLineRussellNOTJW

Quoting form author Kenneth Rawson, in his book, Pastor Russell the Founder of the Bible Students, not the Jehovah’s Witnesses (2nd Edition), we read the following:

With all the Internet exchange of information, Jehovah’s Witnesses are beginning to realize that the image of Judge Rutherford is a liability and they are out to minimize his stature and fictionalize a relationship between Pastor Russell and Jehovah’s Witnesses that never existed.

Additionally, there are thousands of Jehovah’s Witnesses and ex-Jehovah’s Witnesses who are dissatisfied with the current operation of the Watch Tower and the history of Jehovah’s Witnesses. Unfortunately, many have become mentally depressed.

Both my parents were Bible Students before Judge Rutherford gained control of the Watch Tower.  From a young age I have vivid memories of discussions my parents had with other Bible Students from Pastor Russell’s day concerning the takeover of the Watch Tower by Judge Rutherford and the direction he pursued.

Also, my situation in the Bible Student movement during the 1940s through the 1960s enabled me to have discussions with more close associates of Pastor Russell than other Bible Students. This history has been invaluable to me.

I learned from these associates of Pastor Russell that in 1926 Judge Rutherford discarded the basic Scriptural teaching of character development. Galatians 5:18-25 and 2 Peter 1:4-11.  He said we are characters and can’t change.  They felt this was to justify some of his questionable actions.  Actually, this was the beginning of the end of many Bible Students’ relationship to the Watch Tower. Why?

Pastor Russell’s Bible Students cherished the teaching of character development.  They believed that the 144,000 were to share with Jesus in the Kingdom, as sympathetic priests (1 Peter 2:9) who would nurture, develop in love and judge the world of mankind.  To qualify for this work they must now develop the character likeness of the Heavenly Father.  2 Corinthians 3:18.

The writer published some of this material in the 1950s, 1970s and most of it in the 1990s, but the need is now greater than ever.  The information goes forth with the prayer that by our Heavenly Father’s grace it will give Scriptural direction to those who love Jehovah.

Chris sorry your beliefs I don’t follow, Russell did not have much to say on an earthly group either, 2 thirds of the bible have an earthly hope only. He was wrong about Adam being planned to sin. Jehovah is not a dis engererous God, he did not make a fake test, he did not plan sin, there is no scripture that says Adam and Eve prefigured Christ and the Bride. That is blasformy If I through the God planned sin then he might as well plan Hell, it is extremely defaming God Holy name and reputation. The only person who planned sin was Satan. Russell passed the presidency to Rutherford, his watchtower bible and tract society is ours not a group of Bible students who have taken his Name but don’t preach now. It’s a lame reason to claim to preach iafter the great tribulation, Noah who faced his great tribulation/deluge preached for 40 years, all knew of the warning. 1000’s of his relatives ‘took no note, until they were swept away’ they died by Gods judgement. Paul said ‘woe’ if I do not preach the good news.
The trouble for you lot is if you go out preaching Jehovah God to the public they will call you Jehovah’s witnesses. Especially if you open your bible version and read them a verse as we do. Yes you are right there a real problems with my religion especially with shunning etc. But it is doing Christs command, ‘ make deciples of peoples of all nations till I come, baptising them” Mth28:19,20
Sorry for my slightly grumpy tone
    Christian regards, all

      Gasa,

-Adam was put to sleep/Christ was put to death
-Dominion was given to Adam and Eve/ Rulership is given to Christ and his bride.
      – Eve was created as a bride for Adam/ The church is created as a bride for Christ
-Adam chose to die for eve/ Christ chose to die for the church
      – Eve was formed and presented to Adam and they were married before the 7th day/ The bride is formed and presented to Christ and they are married before the millennium.

He knew Adam would sin. I provided the scriptures in the previous post about how Jesus was slain before the foundation of the world. Jesus is NOT a Plan B.
How can we know God knew Adam would sin? Here’s a clue. Adam and Eve were a picture of a Christ and the bride. Adam being put to sleep and his side being opened up and a rib being taken and formed into a bride is a picture/type of Jesus being put to death and God forming the bride. Jesus side was also opened up. How could a picture of Jesus dying before Adam sinned not be in God’s mind as a foreshadow of what will come of he didn’t know Jesus would have to die.
Biblical typology is a real thing. Jesus and the bride are prefigured by Adam and Eve. Of course these aren’t directly stated in the Bible. They are only revealed to us if we search for them. The whole Old Testament is typical. Every biblical scholar is aware that Adam and Eve are a type of Christ and his bride. Not after they sin thought.

Sure we are to make disciples. But if we’re preaching the wrong message than it doesn’t matter how many concert. The JWs are placing the world on trial before the millennium.

SOON ALL WILL KNOW THE TRUTH. JUST KEEP READING YOUR BIBLES AND LOOKING AT THE THING’S THAT IS TAKING PLACE, JUST AS JEHOVAH HAS SAID IT WOULD. WHY ARE YOU SO QUICK TO POINT OUT ONE MAN. BROTHER RUSSELL HAS LONG BEEN DECEASED IF WHAT HE TAUGHT WERE SO FALSE, WHEN HE DIED SO EOULD HIS BELIEFS. NO ONE IN JEHOVAH ORGANIZATION FOLLOW MAN.THE OVER 8 MILLION JEHOVAH WITNESSES WORLD WIDE, ALL BELIEVING IN THE SAME WAY IS NOT MAN’S DOING. TELL ME WGAT IS SO WRONG IN DOING THINGS THE WAY YOUR CREATOR TELLS YOU TO DO IT.AND HE KNOWS WE ARE NOT PERFECT IN TRYING TO FOLLOW HIS WORDS BUT WR ARE TRYING AND ANY TIME WE ARE PUT DOWN FOR DOING SO, IT LET US KNOW WE ARE DOING THE RIGHT THINGS. WHO ARE YOU FOLLOWING IN YOUR BELIEFS? YOURSELF OR SOMEONE ELSE.ARE YOU MAKING MONEY OFF OF PUTTING JEHOVAH WITNESSES DOWN.OUT OF ALL THE RELIGIONS WORLD WIDE, YOU CHOSE THIS ONE, MAYBE YOU SHOULD START WONDERING WHO YOU ARE REALLY WORKING FOR. HAVE A NICE LIFE

    • Jacqueline (Bible Student)

Anonymous hello and thanks for your comment. This site was formed because there was a need for clarity on a number of points and also to help Jehovah witnesses fleeing a tyrant mind controlling governing body and it’s clergy system of elders and Circuit, district overseers and a horde of other layers of authority.
The governing body has had to admit the Bible student association is not dead as they told all Jehovah witnesses. The doctrines they say were taught and believed by Charles Taze Russell and those that lived on. It untangles the way Rutherford, Knorr and Franz used the basic belief of the Bible student association to bind and form a huge organization of enslavement to men and their bylaws. The “Shepherd the flock” book has more additional laws than the Law code and Christ holds no place in the religious concepts.
This site is not for those that love the teachings of the organization calling itself Jehovah’s witnesses. Actually Jehovah’s witnesses are the Jews and God never goes back on his promise to have them as his special people.
So you ask if we make money off the site? No. We don’t even have a central organization. We meet in homes and some classes such as Chicag Bible student, Dawn and Columbus bible students to name a few have printing factories to print for brothers. Each class is autonomous and invite each other to fellowship at their conventions and we meet at a large convention or internationally also as an association and share Bible gems and help each other to remain strong in their faith.
Your large type indicates this site might not be for you. We don’t wish to make your religion a problem for you. We will however help anyone coming on here to get relief as they escape the grip of a manmade organization that claims to be ruling in place of God’s kingdom now instead of Jesus.
      Have a nice day.

        Here is the lycrics:

        O lover of my soul
To the song of all songs
        Romance me

To the song of all songs

        Behold You have come
        Over the hills
        Upon the mountains
        To me You have run
        My beloved

        You’ve captured my heart

        With You I will go
        You are my love
        You are my fair one
        Winter is past
        And the springtime has come

  • Apostasy

Definition: Apostasy is abandoning or deserting the worship and service of God, actually a rebellion against Jehovah God. Some apostates profess to know and serve God but reject teachings or requirements set out in his Word. Others claim to believe the Bible but reject Jehovah’s organization.

Should we expect that apostates will arise within the Christian congregation?
1 Tim. 4:1: “The inspired utterance says definitely that in later periods of time some will fall away from the faith, paying attention to misleading inspired utterances and teachings of demons.”
2 Thess. 2:3: “Let no one seduce you in any manner, because [the day of Jehovah] will not come unless the apostasy comes first and the man of lawlessness gets revealed, the son of destruction.”
    Some identifying marks of apostates—
They seek to make others their followers, thus causing sectarian divisions
Acts 20:30: “From among you yourselves men will rise and speak twisted things to draw away the disciples after themselves.”
2 Pet. 2:1, 3: “There will also be false teachers among you. These very ones will quietly bring in destructive sects and will disown even the owner that bought them . . . Also, with covetousness they will exploit you with counterfeit words.”
They may profess to believe in Christ but treat lightly the preaching and teaching work he assigned to his followers
Luke 6:46: “Why, then, do you call me ‘Lord! Lord!’ but do not do the things I say?”
Matt. 28:19, 20: “Go therefore and make disciples of people of all the nations, baptizing them . . . teaching them to observe all the things I have commanded you.”
Matt. 24:14: “This good news of the kingdom will be preached in all the inhabited earth for a witness to all the nations; and then the end will come.”
They may claim to serve God but reject his representatives, his visible organization
Jude 8, 11: “These men, too, indulging in dreams, are defiling the flesh and disregarding lordship and speaking abusively of glorious ones. Too bad for them, because they . . . have perished in the rebellious talk of Korah!”
Num. 16:1-3, 11, 19-21: “Korah . . . proceeded to get up, together with . . . two hundred and fifty men of the sons of Israel, chieftains of the assembly . . . So they congregated themselves against Moses and Aaron and said to them: ‘That is enough of you, because the whole assembly are all of them holy and Jehovah is in their midst. Why, then, should you lift yourselves up above the congregation of Jehovah?’ . . . [Moses said:] ‘You and all your assembly who are gathering together are against Jehovah. As for Aaron, what is he that you men should murmur against him?’ When Korah got all the assembly together against them at the entrance of the tent of meeting, then Jehovah’s glory appeared to all the assembly. Jehovah now spoke to Moses and Aaron, saying: ‘Separate yourselves from the midst of this assembly, that I may exterminate them in an instant.’”
Not only do they abandon the true faith but they then “beat” their former associates, using public criticism and other methods to hinder their work; the efforts of such apostates are devoted to tearing down, not building up
Matt. 24:45-51: “Who really is the faithful and discreet slave whom his master appointed over his domestics, to give them their food at the proper time? . . . But if ever that evil slave should say in his heart, ‘My master is delaying,’ and should start to beat his fellow slaves and should eat and drink with the confirmed drunkards, the master of that slave will come on a day that he does not expect and in an hour that he does not know, and will punish him with the greatest severity and will assign him his part with the hypocrites.”
2 Tim. 2:16-18: “Shun empty speeches that violate what is holy; for they will advance to more and more ungodliness, and their word will spread like gangrene. Hymenaeus and Philetus are of that number. These very men have deviated from the truth, saying that the resurrection has already occurred; and they are subverting the faith of some.”
Would faithful Christians welcome apostates into their presence, either personally or by reading their literature?
2 John 9, 10: “Everyone that pushes ahead and does not remain in the teaching of the Christ does not have God. . . . If anyone comes to you and does not bring this teaching, never receive him into your homes or say a greeting to him.”
Rom. 16:17, 18: “I exhort you, brothers, to keep your eye on those who cause divisions and occasions for stumbling contrary to the teaching that you have learned, and avoid them. . . . By smooth talk and complimentary speech they seduce the hearts of guileless ones.”
Would any serious harm come from satisfying one’s curiosity about the thinking of apostates?
Prov. 11:9: “By his mouth the one who is an apostate brings his fellowman to ruin.”
Isa. 32:6: “The senseless one himself will speak mere senselessness, and his very heart will work at what is hurtful, to work at apostasy and to speak against Jehovah what is wayward, to cause the soul of the hungry one to go empty, and he causes even the thirsty one to go without drink itself.” (Compare Isaiah 65:13, 14.)
    How serious is apostasy?
2 Pet. 2:1: “These very ones will quietly bring in destructive sects and will disown even the owner that bought them, bringing speedy destruction upon themselves.”
Job 13:16: “Before him [God] no apostate will come in.”
Heb. 6:4-6: “It is impossible as regards those who have once for all been enlightened, and who have tasted the heavenly free gift, and who have become partakers of holy spirit, and who have tasted the fine word of God and powers of the coming system of things, but who have fallen away [“if they then commit apostasy,” RS], to revive them again to repentance, because they impale the Son of God afresh for themselves and expose him to public shame.”

      Maria,

Thanks for having the courage to come on our website and share your concerns and warnings. You are quoting a lot of scriptures without providing any interpretation or application. As best as I can tell, you are identifying us as Apostates. It seems to me that your motivation is to protect the JW brethren and Organization from Apostate influences. Well, it is a good motive to want to protect our brothers and sisters from evil influences, so we will assume the best of intentions on your part and that it is in your heart is to do good. So may Jehovah bless you for that.

I think we would like to hear more from you. Would you explain your concerns in our own word? Perhaps identify a specific issue where you feel we are promoting Apostate teachings and then we can discuss it together.

Did you know that we Bible Students have never changed their beliefs since the early Watchtower days during the life time of Brother Russell? So how is it that we are apostates since we never left the Truth? We never changed? As a matter of fact the JW Organization changed what the Truth and they continue to change with what they call “New Light.” Imagine this. You are in a dark room and slowly move the dimmer switch watching the light gradually getting brighter. Slowly you can begin to see things in the room and slowly they become more clear as the light grows brighter. At no time does the chair turn into a table. Here in is the problem. When JW doctrines change, that is NOT the light getting brighter. Rather, that is correcting old error.

So in summary, Bible Students did not reject the Truth. Rather we have held onto and treasured it. The JW Organization has been changing what the Truth is. So do you really want to look at us Bible Students as Apostates?

    • Brettstone

This is an interesting scripture that you quoted Acts 20:30: “From among you yourselves men will rise and speak twisted things to draw away the disciples after themselves.”
      If you consider that JF Rutherford ROSE up from among his fellow brethren and declared that;
      1) The Ransom price that Jesus paid with his life does not cover all, but you have to submitt to an organization/corporation to recieve it
      2) Armegeddon is not the battle to liberate all creation from sin, death and replace with Christ 1,000 year kingdom, but to judge all mankind before actual judgment day
      3) Your liberty in christ for a free conscience should be taken and submitted to men who will change your beliefs without a choice every couple years
      4) One baptism into christs body and death will in turn become a baptism into an organization

Hmmm… When you stop and consider it, it seems that it was Rutherford who “rise up and speak twisted things”

      • Peter K. (admin)

Brettstone – Thanks. Good comments. What I would like to see Maria do is actually narrow in on one area where she feels Bible Students are apostates, then to present the scriptural evidence from which she is drawing the conclusion.

    • Bret

      Maria,
I once though like you did and therefore do not blame you for the thoughts you put forth. Your mind does not belong to like most all indoctrinated JW’s. I was once there and was a servant for 6 years and then an Elder for 12 years until i walked away after lerning that the Ransom covers “all” and not “all sorts of” as is presented in the New World Translation. At some point Maria you will have a crisis of conscience when you realized that you are subject to control doctrines and you probably have already begun to recognize that and that is why you have visited here as I did while I was still an Elder. Your reassurance mechanism is going off and that is what brings you to list such scriptures with accusation. Its normal and its your way of reassuring yourself that you are still loyal to those 7 men (Faithful Slave). That is the first sign of your conscience and so you look at and peep at things that raise question. But the Organization is going through major changes and money is now an issue, as well pedophiles and many other issues. Soon you will return with more curiosity and once you dive deeper into the scriptures and the freedom that christ offers then you will begin to recognize that the Island scriptures you have been trained to use have a context that doesnt fit in the category your placing then and shouldn’t be used or applied in such a manner. Then the real truth will begin to shop ne through and you can have your mind back and end the worship of an organization and seven men who have made themselves your God..

    What is more important?

    What you are referred to?

Or how you live to a certain belief?

Which human would you call follower of Moses?
    a. One who follows the Law of Moses as best as he can?
    b. One who deliberately breaks the Laws of Moses?
Remember a proselyte was a non- Israelite converted to the religion. Yet he had to follow the requirements of the religion.

So now lets say a. was the proselyte, and b. was the Israelite. Who would you want to associate with? a. the one who didn’t have the name Israelite, or b. the one who had the name.

Moral of the story, strive to do the will of Jehovah God as best as you can. True worship and love your neighbor!
