Kent – Last Wednesday night, you asked, “What do we believe will be fleshly Israel’s purpose in God’s plan?” The earthly Government in the Kingdom (Paradise Earth) will be centered in Israel. The faithful followers of Jehovah from the Old Testament (i.e. Moses, Abraham, David, Daniel, etc.) will be among the earthly rulers. Israel itself will be a blessor nation, the blessing of the earthly Kingdom will flow out of it. The New Covenant will be made with Israel, then as people in the world come into the Kingdom Arrangement, they will come under the New Covenant. More information about what happens next with Israel in prophecy as well as scriptural support for this answer can be found by clicking here and here.

Tonight we had a GREAT study. All the regulars but one showed up. We hope that Brother is well. We had the blessing of a new brother from Sweden join us. It was 2 in the morning there. He was a welcome addition to our little group. We are learning to really search and find our answers directly from the Bible. I thought as a JW, that’s what they did. However, I know now they did not. We are using a booklet called the Grand Plan, but mostly we take the scriptures with each question, look them up and see for ourselves how they answer the question.

What I appreciate the most from the Bible Students that I never got as a JW is freedom, in fact encouragement, to come to the answers ourselves. There are some things like the fact there is no Trinity, no immortal soul, no Hell and other doctrines that are set in stone by the information we find in the scriptures. But some other thoughts are open to interpretation. We’re not chastised or made to feel little for our understandings. We never had that as JW. I feel the freedom and the peace and the joy of GOD’s word and understanding his “grand plan” for ALL.
