  • It appears Revelation 21 has Kingdom purposes for “coming down from heaven” to earth for humans. The one hope is immortality, the realm is heavenly or earthly.

(Matthew 6:9-10) Our Father in the heavens, let your name be sanctified. 10 Let your kingdom come. Let your will take place, as in heaven, also upon earth.

(Matthew 6:9-10) Our Father in the heavens, let your name be sanctified. 10 Let your kingdom come. Let your will take place, as in heaven (immortality; Rev2:7), also upon earth (immortality; Rev22:14).

    • Peter K. (admin)

2034 – Thanks. Do you believe angels and those remaining on earth after the Rev 20 thousand years and little season have immortality (as opposed to everlasting life)?

      In regards to Angel’s consider…
1 Tim 6 (ESV) “14 to keep the commandment unstained and free from reproach until the appearing of our Lord Jesus Christ, 15 which he will display at the proper time—he who is the blessed and only Sovereign, the King of kings and Lord of lords, 16 who alone has immortality, who dwells in unapproachable light, whom no one has ever seen or can see. To him be honor and eternal dominion. Amen.”

  • Marc Taylor

    Some introductory thoughts.
    1. God wants to save only His elect – the rest not so (Romans 9:18).
    2. God will bless all people who are His elect – but even the unsaved are blessed in some regards (Matthew 5:45).
    3. Heaven is the immediate abode for the saved upon death. In the future they will be part of the new earth.
    4. There is no second chances to be saved. This life is it.
    5. Those who die who are not Christians are eternally lost and are sent (in a conscious state) in Hades and then they are sent to the Lake of Fire.

    • Chris Johns

All incorrect. But you believe what you want.

    • Peter K. (admin)

Marc – If you are not seriously going to consider the scriptures at the link than it is becoming clear this was never really a two way conversation. Your views are fixed and no amount of scriptures will change your mind.

      • Marc Taylor

        Peter,

I could easily say the exact same thing to you about the Scriptures I have cited in the past and could just as easily cite now so your argument is meaningless.

    • Sky

“”God wants to save only His elect – the rest not so (Romans 9:18)””

There is your first problem. With that attitude you become “first in line” for the “fire prepared for the Devil”, because that is what he also teaches when “at church”.

The church morph of Christ’s teachings, teach all that error, so they can milk your ATMs your whole life based on the fear and guilt which actually drives these ideas with a healthy does of self-righteous adrenaline.

This and other reasons is why corporate Christendom will be deposed by World Government. (Rev17:13-17) It is of no use to the Kingdom of Christ come Revelation 14 time under “8th King” world government in the future. It has been a total error for quite some time. (2Thess2:11-12)

      • Marc Taylor

You did a great job rambling on but totally ignored Romans 9:18.

        • Christopher Johns

Another self righteous comment. It makes me think when a Christian calls someone a name and then uses the scripture of jesus calling the pharisees vipers as a justification.

          • Rena Luecking aka Just Stay Sweet and Good

I agree Chris. the general attitude is not spiritual but combative these days. When people are attacked their “fight or flight” response kicks in. Our Creator put that there for a purpose so we could be alterted to trouble. I just now realized this was the whole reason for the emergency session that is chronicaled in Acts, was because if was former Pharasies that had become Christians that were pushing the circumcision. Their heart had not been circumscied yet. This is what we are all dealing with today, is the lack of submission to Jehovah Gods standards for those who will rule and reign with his son.

            • Peter K. (admin)

Thanks Rena. – It is our hope that with open and honest discussion (without fear) that we can reason together in love with each other to arrive at Biblical truth with a willing and uncoerced obedience to the Bible.

      • Peter K. (admin)

Sky – Thanks for commenting. “God desires all men to be saved and come to a knowledge of the truth.” 1 Tim 2:4.

Thankfully God’s generous plan for salvation is better than you can even imagine.

    • Peter K. (admin)

Marc – I am going to assume you actually believe this scenario where over 99% of mankind goes to hell.

I have two questions for you from Revelation 20.

      Revelation 20:1-5 (ESV) partial quote
“Then I saw angel… he seized… Satan, and bound him… so that he might not deceive the nations any longer, until the thousand years were ended… I saw the souls of… those who had not worshiped the beast… They came to life and reigned with Christ for a thousand years.”

      1) Who are God’s people reigning over on earth during the 1,000 years and for what purpose?

      2) Why does God prevent Satan from deceiving the nations during the 1,000 years.

  • Noel Bordoy

The verses mentioned in “Salvation can only come through Christ”, seems to indicate that only those who exercise faith in Christ will be saved. But Acts 24:15 says there will be a resurrection of both the righteous and unrighteous. How do we reconcile these passages? Thanks

    • Jacqueline (Bible Student)

Noel first put the scriptures in the correct Age or time period.
Now at the end of the 1,000 year will all persons have to believe in Christ to be saved? Yes. Will the righteous and the unjust also have been raised? Yes. Most of the scriptures witness say happen at armageddon or before, actually fulfill in the age to come. Witness rush God where he moves at his time table.

  • Cazenovi (Bible Student)

    Br. Peter K. –
I thoroughly believe the bible teaches that Christ’s Ransom is indeed for ALL.

The only struggle I have is this: Does the bible teach two different hopes or just Sonship. It seems that different individual BSs have different thoughts on this. If the scriptures teach only Sonship, then is there really a calling and choosing, which imply all are Sons of God by default? And after the judgment of 1000 yrs I’ve heard some say the people on earth will have then proved themselves spiritually perfect (yes) and but then be brought to heaven. What of the earth itself? I am just looking for your thoughts based on evidence of scripture.

    • Peter K. (admin)

      Cazenovi,

Since Pentecost, millions may have been chosen by Jehovah as holy spirit annointed New Creatures. However, only the faithful little flock will be accepted as the bride of Christ.

There is only one heavenly hope of our calling, however merciful Jehovah will still save those not faithful enough to be part of the glorified body of Christ.

I think this link will help. https://www.friendsofjehovahswitnesses.com/2011/05/01/what-happens-to-anointed-who-do-not-make-the-144000/

There are two phases of the Kingdom, both heavenly and earthly. Both phases will endure forever. Many scriptures in this post teach about the earthly kingdom at this link. Thsee show the earthly kingdom will be forever.

Dan.2.44.nasb “In the days of those kings the God of heaven will set up a kingdom which will never be destroyed, and that kingdom will not be left for another people; it will crush and put an end to all these kingdoms, but it will itself endure forever.”

Dan.7.14.nasb “And to Him was given dominion, Glory and a kingdom, That all the peoples, nations and men of every language Might serve Him. His dominion is an everlasting dominion Which will not pass away; And His kingdom is one Which will not be destroyed.”

So it seems there will be people on earth forever.

I have heard some suggest that the Faithful Old Testament people of Hebrews 11 would recieve a heavenly reward after the 1,000 years. I think that the evidence is a bit technical and subjective. I am not convinced either way. I worry that such an outcome seems to contradict the promise to Abraham that he would inherit that Land of Israel forever.

      • Cazenovi (Bible Student)

        Br. Peter –
Thank you. It is a ‘little flock’ compared to the billions on earth, symbolized by the number 144k depicting emphasized totality and thorough heavenly establishment. Am I right? All that you have said is what I believe. I just want to make sure that I had the understanding clear. I have come to understand these things through Jahs spirit on my own accord and is a relief to hear/see it that what I have derived is in fact accurate in contrast to the WT doctrines.

        • Peter K. (admin)

Cazenovi – You may be correct on that. I favor the view that the number 144,000 is a literal count. Although Revelation is a symbolic book, the numbers appear to be literal. For example, the Seals, Trumpets and Churches may be symbolic, however the fact that there are 7 of each is literal. For 1260 days, I think the “days” are symbolic for “years.” However, the the number 1260 itself is taken literally. The classic example of literal numbers is in the 70 weeks prophecy of Daniel 9.

Some find it impossible that the number in the bride of Christ could be so few as 144,000. Considering the Christ-like character that must be developed in order to qualify before Jehovah to be Jesus’ body members, sharing in the work of being earths future judges, priests and kings, I am amazed that there are so many! It gives me hope that I might have a chance. For me, such a large number as 144,000 testifies to the power and influence of the Holy spirit.

Your humble honesty, searching heart and insight are evidence to me of the influence of God’s holy spirit helping you.

          • Cazenovi (Bible Student)

I can appreciate your view brother. I have been taught that the number is indeed literal, and I understand and believe through study of scripture and Russel’s teachings that millions have been (and will continue to be) invited but not all invited are subsequently CHOSEN. That is why we are admonished to ‘make the calling of ourselves sure’, in the sense of consecration and not mere integrity keeping.

Nonetheless, my personal uncertainty warrants more study on my own behalf then discussion on the subject.

To gain the lenses of divine wisdom and spiritual perception of the Christ for subsequent study of the bible along with petition of holy spirit, I am currently examining the inspired writings and songs of Solomon, I will then skip onto Revelation, then a chronological study of the scriptures.

          • Cazenovi (Bible Student)

I pray that you do as well as that all my contemporaries stay true to the Way, Truth and Light of our Lord Christ Jesus.

Although invited, I feel I have a lot to live up to here presently. Your humility is endearing. Your simple expression of hope both reflects your own humility and too reminds me that my choosing is not guaranteed until my faithful life course, the work of my personal consecration and ordained will of Jah is complete. I pray I have a full life that merits such an ethereal reward! I appreciate your candor my brother, it is very encouraging.
