Thankyou for answering I note you were a witness for 60 years and a third generation one too. I am glad you found another organisation doing the preaching work. It must have been a hard decision. I did know most of the history you told me but I did not know the Bible students were still going to day I thought they gradually disappeared within a few decades of the split after 1914 did not fulfil the expectations they had at the time.
I am fully in accord with Acts 17v11 I have down laded the 1901 ASV Bible and 2011 WEB Bible they both use Jehovah’s name in all the places it should appear in the Hebrew Scriptures. I use an on line interlinear Bible at interlinearbible.org to cheek what really is written. The meaning of the words which are shown if you move your mouse pointer over the number on the top line of the on line interlinear John 1v1 NWT is vindicated Zechariah 12v10 is very interesting as neither me or one appears in the original Hebrew just a grammatical marker (853) between towards (413) and who (834). I conclude the verse refers to Jesus, as a son of Jesse (1732) and first-born (1060) in other places in the Bible refer to Jesus.
What translation of the Bible do you use please? How many are there of you world wide please? What is your organisation doing in getting those who have stopped serving Jehovah as I have seen a video of one young man who found something out and wore a tee shirt telling all the fact at an assembly. The young man concerned looked honest and felt strongly enough to pull such a stunt. I personally know of another young man (a study of mine) who was a natural on the work but just as I was getting him back to the meetings he goes and find out about a certain grave and has concluded that there is no true religion which is very sad.
Oh and one last question please could you give me the scriptural bases on just who should partake of the emblems at the memorial please as I don’t wish to be inadvertently be rejecting Jesus’ ransom sacrifice. I have look but find nothing conclusive as yet.
I came upon your sight as once too often I came accross a house holder who seemed afraid of me at his gate so I typed why are people afraid of Jehovah’s witness and your site was one the serch engine came up with. Looks like Gods people split in modern times just like Juda and Isrial did. Any others doing the preaching work in adition to these two organisations please.
Hi sis. witness for three yrs. I am listening to a convention now but will dissect your questions later and answer. But I would like to say I am not in an organization. Bible Student classes are autonomous. There is no headquarters just small printing facilities. There is info on this site explaining how each cong is set up. I was baptized under the questions used since Br. Russell. I never accepted or joined the organization. I refused to get rebaptized in the 70′s when they asked you to do so if you were baptized some time ago. So I never answered the baptism questions that identified me with an earthly organization. And as such I didn’t need to formally resign, I just quietly left and found out the Bible Students were not all dead and gone as we had been led to believe. They are all around you, you probably have met some at the door, like I have but didn’t know who they were. I use many translations. I have the eight translation side by side of the greek. I use online at the conventions as we have computers with us if we want. There is an article on here that talks about and explains who should take the emblems and why. I realize now he said keep doing it in remembrance of me and I neglected to do that for too long. I found the BS by googling the phrase “religions that believe like Jehovah witnesses near Chicago.” I kept getting the Chicago Bible students. I tell the story on the ” Ask Jacqueline” page.
